Can anybody help me with identifying this mix of dog? We got it from the pound, the tag said "collie mix" but I'm not buying that. We've figured out it's at least part chow but other than that I don't know- German Shephard? Rotweiler? Please help if you have any idea. Thanks.

I think it's WAY to early to tell. You'll have a better idea as he grows up. He's a doll though.

I got the same thing. Would you post it in the members' galleries in the Pictures pages?

One way to tell if your pup is part Chow is to look at the tongue. If part or all is blue, you've definitely got some Chow blood.

She might be part chow, she certainly has the coat and head structure of one.

I tried to post the pics on the gallery, but it says that each one is too big. (they're not that big). If you check back later, I'm sure the website will work, it just has an hourly limit I guess- you get what you pay for which in this case is nothing.

I see Chow also, and maybe some German Shepherd? I am not sure. You will be able to tell more the older Kiley gets by her personality, such as if she acts more like a watch dog, or has some herding instincts, or retreiving instincts. It will be really interesting to watch her grow and see how she develops and how her personality really starts to give you some clues. I can't wait to hear about it and continue to try to guess. That is always so much fun!
