And now we've started on a back stall too. OUCH. no one mentioned the pain. Okay they probably did.
Oh yes, the pain has been mentioned.

Crossbone is awesome. I love that little dog. So spunky and cool. Neat trick! You might be able to turn that into a handstand, just FYI. Like, a hand handstand. :3

We're not as cool as Art but...

The two handed perch stall thing is so much harder than I expected it to be....
That is SO awesome!!!! :hail: Yes, Art does it, but he's small and David holds him. When I do it with Art my arms are sore for the entire next day. Crossbone is what, in the high 20'lbs? You are so awesome! Count me amazed :)

LOVE Crossbone's new trick! That is so awesome.

I'm new to this whole TotW thing, but I've been reading and trying it from afar!

Both Quinn and Ned can now perch on a little stool, which I'm really happy with. Quinn is not a small dog and is rather long, so she really has to focus but still has no problem balancing on the stool. Today I started trying to get Ned to perch on a little rubber dog bowl I have (about 6 or 8" diameter, maybe 4" high). Because it's so low to the ground it's a little more difficult, but with only 10 mins with it we were consistently getting 3 feet on and got 4 a few times too!

I don't have any photo evidence of the above, but I do have this lol

We've got a pretty good back stall now.
Feist is so funny, her lack of self preservation/way of flinging herself at everything made this a very fast trick. Excuse my lack of pajamas, hahaha.

So this means you're going to be joining in from now on, yes? Yes. Good. Yay!

Crossbone is adorable! Love that!

Alright, come on folks... I want to see hand stalls from Didgie, Cohen, Boone, Onyx and the other big dogs!
lol Yeah......I don't think so. But I could probably get you video of me TRYING this, which would probably be pretty hilarious.

ETA: Oko, that looks great!

Largely because of this trick, I decided to get a FitPAWS peanut, and it's some of the best money I've ever spent! Five minutes here and there working on it and we've all survived not being able to exercise outside in the polar vortex.

Squash is the most comfortable up there.

I wonder how much that tail helps her balance.

Pip remains to be convinced.

Maisy's tail is awesome! I'm glad you got the peanut! It's such a great thing to work with over winter.

Brought Traveler and worked on our Footstall at work. He did great for it being his first time doing it when he was worked up, with dogs, smells and PEOPLE around.

Also started adding distance.

Wasn't completely clean but he's getting better and better!

Oh god he's like a dang gazelle. How many times did you get a Traveler in the face before he mastered that?
I'm really good at duck, cover and roll!

Honestly, the biggest issue was him using it as a launching pad instead of stopping. So he would hit and push off and land far away from me. So that saved me quite a bit!

This session started out with "hug". I had the brilliant idea to use a paper towel roll as a wider pole that would force her to grab on. Anyways, one thing led to another.

At agility yesterday Mia was perching on this stool while my instructor and I talked. It cracked me up. she was so sure she'd get something for that.

FOOT STALL!!

So I decided to just try a foot stall out, having rather unsuccessfully tried a shin stall as a build up.

This video is two clips from the first session, the very beginning and very end. I looove this dog <3

Also, I weighted her and she has actually put on some more weight, she is now at 45lbs. Must be nearly done!?

I think I am messing her up more than anything, it is hard to find a comfortable position for my legs and keep my feet flat. I think I have more to work on than her.

Awesome! Your feet look just fine. She just needs to figure out the requisite control to maintain the position. It's just a matter of practice now. Good work!

That was so awesome!!! I'm incredibly impressed.

My biggest suggestions would be getting her to mount in front of you rather than from either side and when you want her to get off toss a piece of food off to the side of you while saying off.

But seriously, great job. From here on out it's just finding your groove! She'll get stronger, you'll get stronger and she'll balance better making it easier on you.
