Yeah, I'm having issues with Zane being spastic, too. His new default is "touch".

Touch this? Touch the wall? Touch the door? Touch your hand? Touch my paw? Touch the floor? Touch the door? LICK the wall? Lick your hand? Shake? No? Crawl? Roll over. WHAT DO YOU WANT FROM ME.

I'm all kinds of beat up, let alone letting him beat me up.

I can get Maisy to move her front feet, but the cross is giving me fits with her.

Squash will put one paw ON the other, but not really cross.

Pip just slams one foot down. He's not getting the cross very well at all.

I'm going to keep working on it. But it may largely defeat me too.

I've just been working on this silently! I should have been posting but our progress was slow and every video I took was out of frame.

But Traveler is offering an almost consistent paw cross now, however slight. I'm super proud of him, this was completely shaped and not easy. Didgie is putting her paws close together but not yet a paw cross.

Yeah Lo's not getting the cross either. She can get it with the target, but when I tried to take the target away she made a weird sound of frustration that was half growl/half cry with maybe some groan in there as well.

GUYS. He did it.

He learned a hand signal pretty fast, but for awhile he would cross but then instantly uncross. Then one time he just left it there and chilled with his paws crossed while I jackpotted him for what seemed like minutes. lol

ETA: It's mildly interesting to me that when I started this out I was luring his left paw over his right paw, but when I started over shaping it, he chose right paw over left paw.

I love how laid back Squash looks when he does it!

So, here is Traveler. Totally not even close to done, but he's offering it consistently. Completely shaped and was so much harder than expected. Didgie is still in the slamming her paw down over and over stage, we'll keep working on it.

Nice Squash!! He looks so nonchalant about it, like "yep, I can cross my paws, what's the big deal?"

I'm still jealous of Traveler. :p
