Trials in Ottawa

I went to Ottawa this past weekend to watch the Nationals. My sheltie and I are still learning, but, wow, I would love to be there someday. I saw some awesome dogs!!!

I know how you feel. I watched last year when they were in New Brunswick, and I HOPE to someday be there - probably with my Psyche girl.

I had a friend competing with an over sized Sheltie named 'Toffee', she did fairly well this weekend, I believe. I was told that the Maritimers kicked butt this year!

I was there competing, it is too bad we couldn't have met up for a visit.

We had such an awesome time and Petie was running so wonderful for me. I messed up several times which cost us, poor Petie what he could do if I didn't blow it lol. But we did get 2nd on Saturday in the Jumpers, only missed winning by 1/10 of a second :yikes: And we got one of the Gambles but a fraction over time because I had to stay him in the middle of the gamble and redirect him twice

But nothing less than a great time.

JessLough and I volunteered on Friday, and were supposed to on Sunday but both got lashed with heat exhaustion from running around in heavy uniforms in the heat at the Highland Games on Saturday. Foo. I really was looking forward to going back, I had a lot of fun.
