If anyone can help with transport from anwhere along the way from OH to the NYC area, PLEEEEEEASE e-mail me directly as I do not check these forums often [email protected]

We are having a nightmare of a time trying to transport a young treeing walker coondawg that was pulled from a high kill shelter in NE Ohio. We *may* have transport to PA, but not sure of this yet. This dog is something special. She would be too much dog for many pet families so the rescue lady is having a time finding anyone. I offered to take her, but we are having transport troubles o' plenty. The rescue lady is a SAINT who is desperate to help this dog. I am useless with meeting half way as my car is junked :( So that leaves us in a predicament.

OR, if anyone in the OH/PA area who can handle an active dog could possibly give her a home, that would be awesome! This is a great dog, very quick with obedience, I believe is housebroken already. SMART as a whip. If you put in some effort there should be no trouble training this girl! She is beautiful, healthy, young (around 2yrs) and likely purebred. If you can help in any way, with adoptoin or transport - let me know!!!

Pics of her ... She is labeled as a foxhound but is not. Was pulled from here 2 weeks ago and has been in 10 foster homes since:

Ok, here is the latest news. We have transport to Columbia, NJ.

Which leaves about 1.5 hrs left on the trip ...

I think I could pick up a dog there, no problem. I live pretty much between there and NYC. I could put her up for the night, too, my kids would like that. Assuming she does not actively eat dog savvy cats. i would hope that by May 2 this situation will be resolved.

That sounds awesome!!! I REALLY appreciate the offer to help!!!!!!!!

I am not sure if she will need overnight. That would probably depend on when she arrives in NJ. She is coming there from College Point, PA ... not sure about the cats but she's great with other dogs! If you need to contact me, my addy is [email protected]

Operation Roger... Truckers Pet Transport

Though, these folks probably require a bit more of a process than you're looking for? Perhaps not?

I just applied for transport help and my application was processed and posted immediately.. The people that maintain the service are all volunteers, and the few I've spoken with were all very sweet. Maybe you could call and appeal that it's somewhat an emergency?

Good luck!
