I have a German Shepherd/Border Collie (mostly BC) mix named Tippy. All three of our dogs are rescues. Anyways, we had neighbors two doors down that had three dogs--a Chow Chow named Mr. B, and Chow/GSD mix named Nanook, and Tippy, whom they called Jordan. All three dogs lived outdoors in the yard. The yard is fenced and has a large deck. The dogs were expected to live under that deck and find themselves some food.
One day, me, one of my sisters and our two other dogs, Mayberry, and Lab, and Colby a Terrier mix, were in the backyard. Our yard is fenced. Someone lived between us and these druggies. We saw a cute dog...she was wagging her tail and look at us like, "Hi!!!" Our first reaction was to get her some food. We fed her kibble, cheese, meat....anything she'd eat. We did this for maybe a week and a half. Finally she wouldn't leave our yard. We ended up putting the wire cage out on the deck with a blanket in it along with food and water. But then it was going to go below zero. We brought her inside, she got a bath and a collar. The neighbors agreed to let us find her a home. We planned on giving her to a family we know, but they didn't want her. We ended up keeping her, and boy are we glad we did :). Tippy is an angel, a sweet, loving dog that is sooooo loyal to us. I couldn't ask for a better friend.

You are such a kind spirit, this boost my opinion on the human race. I hear so much about the bad, and then I read something like your story and know there is another side to humanity. She should be a good friend, she is a lucky girl to have you.
