Why don't I realize these things until AFTER the fact? :rofl1:

The girls and I got all ready for bed. I took them to potty, brushed my teeth, got my pajamas on, etc. Summer and Mia all settled themselves in bed while I got ready. Then I came to lie down. I got in bed and saw a tennis ball lying on my pillow. Not thinking, I haphazardly tossed it off the bed and I hear a bunch of scrambling and a thud as Mia ran off the bed and into the wall in the dark after it. A few seconds later I hear her coming up the stairs to the bed and feel a slobbery tennis ball dropped straight into my face.

So yeah... future reference that is a bad plan. I had to put tennis ball away and now Mia is crying because I ruined her game.

I'll take that compared to what I found in my bed yesterday, and nice slobbery kong. And I didn't find it until I was bed, and it was not letting me kick it out from under 3 covers. So yeah... Mr Kong spent the night... and I would randomly hear dogs slurping it *Gags*

:rofl1::rofl1:

Both of those would be better than the half chewed, smelly hoof that found it's way to my pillow last week. ;) And the corgi that pointed it out to me.

Heh I slept with a bully stick the other day. Talk about barf!
I wouldn't spread that around town to everyone Laur :rofl1:

I'm so thankful Orson finally understands the "no toys, bones, or ANYTHING that belongs to you" on the bed rule. It was touch and go when he was younger........now thankfully he leaves them on the floor! LOL

Lol yeah Mia hides them at the foot of the bed at least. I can't remember how many times I've woken up to kick a bully stick out of the bed. So so gross!

Haha I've probably done that with Junior a few times. Yesterday I got into bed and the covers felt heavy so I shook them and 3 tennis balls and 2 ropes fell off. /:

Bones. It's always bones . . . but at least they're on TOP of the covers!
do you have any idea how much jumping excitedly into bed and landing on a bone under the covers hurts??

Laur, carefully slip the tennis ball under the blanket...then when she's not looking, let your arm drop down the side of the bed and lie it as gently as possible on the floor. She might not notice, but it is VERY tricky business.

I hate finding squeaky toys in the bed. It's not so much that the toys themselves are so bad, it's the turning off all the lights, getting under the covers and stretching out only to suddenly hear a loud shrieking noise. Not pleasant.

I think that would be the time when the dog gets booted out of bed, personally.

Strick rules here. You role in something nasty? No bed. You have a bone? No bed. You be silly on the bed? No bed.

Funny though, Blaze roles on those drier sheets that well so good. hehe

How boring :p

In my house, 90% of the silliness happens on the bed.
Haha same. My favorite time with Mia is right before going to bed and right after getting up in the mornings. We wrestle, I shove the sheet over her head or I hid under the sheets. She nibbles at me and we have a great time. It's like... the only time she wants to be all cuddly and mushy. :D

Slight tangent (but don't we always)

Mia loooves going 'night night'. Cause she knows we'll play a while before going to sleep. The second the light is off though she gets very non cuddly and moves to the foot of the bed and sleeps.
