I think I will cry if I have to read another page in Great Expectations. WHY did this book have to be assigned on the very first day of school.
Well, my school doesn't start until the 19th, but I'm cramming for a test already . . . When I first applied they said my program (natural resource science) was full and I would have to wait until the winter quarter to get into the classes specific to that program. Okay . . . I took some more "generic" classes in the meantime.
Then yesterday I find out they DO have room in the Natural Resources program . . . but you have to take a test to get into it. The very last test they're doing for the Fall quarter is on Monday, so I signed up for it. I also grabbed a practice test / study guide.
I blazed through the English portion of the test, no problem, but the math . . . er . . . Well, it's been eight years since I took a math course and with some problems I just stared and stared, racking my brains as I tried to remember what the formulas meant.
-2 | -3 -4 1| = ?
Question mark INDEED.
So I got "Teach Yourself Algebra" out of the library and I'm cramming. I'm especially dreading going over sine / cosine again . . . I could barely remember those when I was in an actual math class.
