Not saying that Paviche should have gone with them or anything. . .
But is this really something you're actively participating in if you hang with them? Is it that bad? I'm sure they're not flaunting it.
I didn't mean participating literally IN the affair, but I would feel like my presence was giving an implicit approval of it.

For now I just can't see that changing your morals.
I don't think hanging with them would change my morals. I think hanging with them would be the same as telling them I think it's ok that they're having an affair. Which, with few exceptions, I wouldn't be.

It seems silly for someone else's bad choices to be that much of a problem to me. Who knows, maybe if I have some friends having an affair I'll change my mind. For now I just can't see that changing your morals.
I was sorta thinking the same thing. I am of the position to keep out of it. It's one of the worst things in the world to get dragged into someone else's relationship issues. But I won't necessarily stop hanging out with them, as is the case with a lot of my previous friends. But at the end of the day, I wasn't rearranging my entire life to go out of my way to show them that I didn't approve.

Otherwise, if I want to stay home and a cheating couple happened to go out with my boyfriend, meh. I don't generally like going out or new people anyway.

This is how I would feel also and there is nothing wrong with not being comfortable with peoples actions and wishing to distance yourself from it.

Especially if I knew the spouse... That would make it super uncomfortable

I wouldn't necessarily stop hanging out with the friend EVER, either, but I sure wouldn't be hanging out with the person and whoever they are actively having an affair with at the same time as like... a couple. Nope nope nope.

This.

I wouldnt feel comfortable in any way condoning it by hanging out with them as an accepted and appropriate couple. Plus, it is making me part of the "secret" and the lie if I do by being assumed I am not going to talk to certain people about who I was with.

A friend of mine was sleeping with a married man, and she felt she wasn't doing anything wrong since she wasn't in a relationship (crazy, right?!). I made it clear that I thought her actions were deplorable, and I essentially cut off contact with her until she came to her senses.

If I hadn't voiced my thoughts and cut off contact, I don't know if she would've stopped...but everyone is different.

Just placed an order with Pizza Hut. It's 8:30... wasn't a huge order ($21 total) and they said it wouldn't be here until 9:49. :yikes:

The location is less than a mile from my house. wtf.

I can't empathize with this at all, really, but now I understand what you mean.

But then again, no one is crazy enough to seek out my approval or care if they have it. :rofl1:

Edit - Sparks, I was in no way suggesting that there was anything wrong with Paviche's actions. That's actually why I said that in my post. I said it first, in fact, because I realized my question was on a touchy subject. I think it's a good thing she made that decision, because it's silly to go out and spend money doing something that makes you uncomfortable. Life is short. Enjoy it. Don't do things you don't want to do.

I have to be at work at 7:30am. To listen to a boring meeting, which will then be followed by ANOTHER boring meeting. And then maybe I'll go sell a car. I'm on a dry streak right now where I can't seem to close a door, never mind a deal.

Stop. You're going to sell two tomorrow.

Keep repeating that. I am.

(I'm at 2.5 right now, if my failure makes you feel better.)

Sooo. I still need to trade in my car before this new crappy transmission goes out. Now my car is having other issues. I keep hearing popping noises every time I turn the wheel or when I stop and then hit the gas again. I'm wondering if maybe it's a cv joint of steering column? I'm still covered under warranty so I'm pretty sure I can get that fixed, but we still have to pay a $250 deductible or something.

Now my husband's truck is having major issues. It's blowing smoke everywhere and there might be a gasket issue on top of everything else that is wrong with that truck. There is already a few grand's worth of repairs needed and this will probably tack on a few more.

We don't have the credit to easily trade either vehicle without a cosigner and we don't have the money to buy outright. I just used majority of my emergency fund on Joey's vet bills so there goes that. FML!!!

Why does everything happen at once?

If you were my camera charger where would you be hiding?

I've been looking for it for a week now and I'd really really like to film tomorrow's nosework searches with my girls. We are searching an office building and I'd love to have video, especially if we're going to get to ORT soon, I'd like to see the search from another perspective to see what I'm doing and how they're alerting.

I'd also like to get some photos to try to drum up interest in the sport here. Barnhunt has gone nuts with people signing up left and right but not many are getting into the nosework. I think if we made it look more fun and showed them the cool things we do like search vehicles and offices that more people would be interested. Especially those dogs that aren't into barn hunt so much.

Argh where ARE you camera charger???

The Disney blues are hitting hard today. It's always tough getting back to reality after vacation and it's even worse when we went from Christmas right into Disney. Talk about a super high lol. It's been one week since we left and today is so depressing... not that our day to day life isn't wonderful but it's hard to leave your happy place lol.

Hannah was up for like 3 hours last night and when she wasn't up... the dogs were, so I'm running on little sleep, I have a terrible headache and my sinuses and throat and ears hurt, Brian's hip replacement surgery is looming over us and it's really starting to become real... less than a week before he goes in for the surgery and he is getting very anxious and nervous about it, understandably. I did something to hurt my thumb yesterday at work... feels like I sprained or strained it. We are ready to pack up and run away to live in Cinderella's castle lol.

:(

Just found out a friend I grew up with, lived across the street from, that her dad passed away (whom I was close to as well as a child). He died while at his desk at work...so it was fast. Good for him but I think very hard for the family when its so sudden like that.

Friend's husband being mean to her on Facebook in view of everybody under the umbrella of "humor." Now I feel really uncomfortable.
