Tell each person there that they're not allowed to talk about whatever their special interest or hobby is. They still won't get it, but it will make you feel better for a second.
And if they have kids, tell them they're not allowed to talk about their kids. At all.

Skittle, since they specified "your dogs", I'd do the all dogs, all the time talk about other people's dogs. Doubly devious. ;)

I don't know why I came to this stupid vacation. I haven't even been here a day and already got in a fight with my dad and I have been in tears all evening. I'm so bothered that my sister invited all her college girl friends and my dad is laughing and drinking with them but I don't exist to him unless he is upset with me about something. He embarrassed me in front of my sisters fiancé and I just walked away and started crying.

I hate my body. I woke up this morning with stomach pain. It wasn't to bad so i just tried to go back to sleep but it got worse and i couldn't get it to go away. It got so bad that I was literally falling on my knees crying as I tried to ignore it and see if it would go away. Boyfriend woke up and after i started puking and shaking and crying in the floor he made me get in the car and go to the ER. So im at the ER waiting room for an hour, the nurse acted like it was some huge inconvenience that I was there, the receptionists were going about something really loudly and I just wanted to scream it hurt and they were super sitting. I hate hospitals so after being there it finally started getting tolerable so I just left. So I not only made my extremely tired boyfriend drive me to the er just to go home anyways, he also was late for work and when I got home all I could manage was to take a something to knock me out so I could sleep of the pain. Now I'm afraid to sleep for fear of the pain coming back as my stomach still hurts though no where near as bad and we have no idea what caused the pain. Sigh

Aww man I'm sorry, that sucks :(

If people are going to treat you like that, can you just go home? Who wants to waste time at some family event just to end up feeling like a pariah. Sucky.

Oh I would totally leave, and have! I'm kinda infamous for storming out of family events honestly. Disrespect me and I will leave, I respect myself more and will not accept it so I have pulled out camper, kid, boyfriend and dogs at 11pm for to.

I know I shouldn't feel like crap about this, but I do. I bought my sister and I Justin Bieber tickets for Atlanta in August. It's a birthday present for her. She doesn't know yet, but she thinks she does lol. I spent quite a bit of money on the tickets/hotel/transportation from here to ATL.

Well BEFORE I got the tickets, I had planned on taking her to a show in Chicago. Like...we had made plans, found a place to stay with my moms relatives, and basically everything was almost set in stone, I just had to buy the tickets. Well, they were WAY more expensive than Atlanta. So I changed everything because Atlanta is where she wanted to go anyway.

NOW I find FRONT ROW FLOOR SEATS for $169.00. That's less than I paid for my seats in Atlanta. I got floor seats in Atlanta but they aren't front row, right by the walkout, TOUCHING JUSTIN'S HAND seats.

And my sister knows about these seats. She saw online that there were front row seats available for $169. So now when I give her the tickets I got, I'm going to feel like crap because they could've been better. I was so excited (and still am, just disappointed) and now I feel like these tickets I got are "second best".

I even asked my dad if we could go to both, and he said "no, that's ridiculous." I would try to sell my current tickets and cancel my hotel reservations, and I'd only be out a little $$ for bus tickets. But the Chicago concert is July 9th. I have no clue if I can even sell these Atlanta tickets or get my money back for the hotel. Plus my dad was a little nervous about us going all the way to Chicago anyway, he was relieved that we were going a little closer to home.

But OMG WE COULD TOUCH JUSTIN! And even if not, we would be SO FLIPPING CLOSE. Ugh, I hate this!! I wish I'd never seen those tickets! But more than that I wish my sister hasn't seen them!

My Mom gathered all the ferret things in the living room, and put them all in one pile/area. IT TAKES UP OVER HALF THE LIVING ROOM. When did they acquire so much STUFF?

Is it feasible to leave? That's just... really horrible behavior. I'm sorry. :(

No matter what I try to brush or comb this big white SOB with, I just end up with hair flying EVERYWHERE. The only thing that really helps is going to town with the curry during a bath... but then it mostly just ends up down the drain instead of flying around the room. WHAT KIND OF ABOMINABLE COMBINATION MADE THIS HATEFUL COAT. argh

My family is in town for the 4th, and their children are driving me insane. They're obnoxious and loud and crazy and there are WAY TOO MANY OF THEM. It's like herding cats. They don't listen when you tell them not to do something. It's ridiculous. THIS IS WHY I DON'T WANT CHILDREN.

A good friend of mine and Mike's old roommate just called Mike crying because she's being left by her boyfriend, and now she is driving down here with her two dogs and cat to stay in our apartment for who knows how long.

I feel horrible for her, but I'm also a bit perturbed. She didn't congratulate me on my engagement, she didn't call ME crying, she called Mike, and now instead of enjoying what little alone time I have left with Mike before he is.gone for six months, I am now stressed about having four dogs and a cat in a tiny one bedroom apartment. Not to mention this is putting a wrench in our plan to visit family today.

And then I feel worse because I'm feeling jealous and upset when she is obviously going through a hard time, and she's my friend.

Boo.

I feel horrible because the 4th has always been a big deal to Rick's family, and we were going to go out to eat tonight just to do SOMETHING. I just got a call and have to work. He says he's not upset, but I just feel terrible. I'll get Dad to pick up some sparklers or something, but... :(

Even though he's the best dog ever, I frequently feel that way about Henry's coat as well.

There's a new dog next door, barking. I'm hoping against hope that the dog is just visiting and not another soul doomed to live ignored on a chain in their yard. :( Independence Day indeed. :(

The a/c in the livingroom broke. It is over 90 in most of my house. We're in the desert, so there's not even a breeze. Horrors.
