I read "The Hitchhiker's Game" by Milan Kundera today. It's a really good, psychological short story.

That's a really good book, Laurelin. I enjoyed The Vampire Lestat more, which followed Interview, but was technically a "prequel", telling Lestat's story of how he came to be. I read the entire series a number of years ago and enjoyed it thoroughly.

I just finished "The Shack" by William Paul Young. It was very good. Definitely Christian based but a page turner and an excellent read. Christians will love it. Non-believers may enjoy the story either way.

I just finished The DaVinci Code. my 4th and last Dan Brown book. he's just too predictable. I only finished it because I wanted to see how he got to the end.
mostly I prefer historical romances, and science fiction (Robert A. Heinlein's the best). and I'm very partial to Mary Stewarts Merlin trilogy.
I've read enough of Anne Rice to know that she has good days and bad days. I think she has more bad days than good ones, but on her good days, she's fantastic.

Still picking at Pillars of the Earth. Not exactly a page turner and I've yet to get engrossed with any of the characters. Just as he's about got you ready to be involved with one character, he jumps to another one. Characterus interruptus

I'm also reading the final draft of Bob's novel, Alias, Baby Girl. These characters grab you from the first few lines where they're introduced!

I am reading the Sookie Stackhouse series, by Charlaine Harris. I am on the fifth one. I read the Twilight series before that, all four books in a little over two weeks. I am reading these as slow as I can, but I have read these five in about two weeks. If I find a series I like, I can't put it down.

I am reading a book called "Not as a Stranger." I am 2/3 of the way done. My grandmother told me they made a movie out of it a long time ago. The book was written in the 50's, and it takes place in the late 20's & 30's.

Just started "Diamonds and Dust" by Sheryl McCorry. Its an autobiography of a woman who grows up in the NT and ends up running two million-acre cattle stations. Will see how it goes.
