Bonster doesn't want a peek preview so he can just not look.:D :D :D This is the never ever ending drawing. EVertyime i think i am finished i see something else that needs to be change darkened, lightened, shape changed...arrrrrrrgh
One more night i will spend on it then i am not looking at it at all..i will slip in in the envelope into the box and mail it away or else 10 years from now i am stilll going to be seeing something i need to change i swear. I am amazed Bonster hasn't given up on me yet.

i cannot fit the whole thing on my scanner so there is a top to his ears and and room on both sides as well as bottom. But it is enough to get the idea.

Darn it, sorry Smkie that ? was never meant to be there, I wasn't questioning whether or not Bonster would like it, it's stunning, you can't not like it. I was talking on MSN at the same time so I was rushing. Sorry :(.

it's ok kase i knew what you meant. I was going to do Bonnie next but i think i defffffffinately need a shepard fur break and will go for Zelda.

i have never done a shepards dense coat, curly fur, fur with a sheen, spotty fur and fuzzy fur. but this was new and hard for me to do. I could only work on it for so long before it all got to looking similar and when i felt i was rushing it and not
really" looking i would stop and take a fresh air break. YOu really can look at something to long. Here is eye detail.

Wow it's so beautiful, you must be so patient. I find it so hard to do any type of fur.

art is allll about being patient. patient enough to suck forever but just never giving up. Thus my favorite qoute.. and i don't know who said it...about the life so short the craft so long to learn...Now i am taking some clay time and i feel like i am starting all over. My friend Kelly drug me into this and i don't know if i should thank her or not. The change has been good for me all around at least that is what my Mom and Aaron say. My hands ache all the time anymore and throwing on the wheel seems to be yoga for my fingers and muscles in my hands so that is a good thing i guess. It has been a long time since i felt in uncharted territories and make things i am ashamed of:p . Once again if it can be done wrong the first time that is exactly the way i will do it. Glazes:rolleyes: shino is a four letter word for me but now i know..shino first or your cursed. I got a whole stack of little curses on the porch.

It is a shame my father's sister didn't get to know me in my growings up. She was a fashion illustrator and was known for being good at fur. I don't even have one of her drawings.:( We were not a close family.:(

I love it smkie! it's so detailed and the eyes have more emotion than you usually find in a drawing (pencil or grey charcoal?)

Wow Smkie that is completely awesome. Glad to say I have a lot less control than Bonster & couldn't resist a peak. You have truly captured the beauty & character of Bronte. Bonster will be thrilled :) Can't wait to see the ones of Bon & Zeld :p

He really isn't going to peek? hehehe I am soooo happy you did.:D I got it all in the fed ex box wrapped up and will be sending it tonight. I will let you know when the delivery date will be.:) Thank you again for looking, somehow i needed to hear it was a go before i mailed it so far away. I had to come back and read your post again..and do a little happy dance:D

While your here, if you still are, i wanted to ask a question. I studied all the zelda pics and i still come back to this one. http://i42.photobucket.com/albums/e331/smkie/zeldahappy.jpg
I can try to put her ears up but am not sure that would be right, i will do two sketches one down one up and let you pick. If this has your approval then i will start and i will not take so long this time i swear. I have done fur like Zelda's before, and she is so dainty and regal and pretty. She looks so happy in this pic so i hope it is the one that you want. If not this can be the one. http://i42.photobucket.com/albums/e331/smkie/ZELDA_headshot.gif

Hi Smkie I’m with you on the photos definitely prefer the smiley one, she looks rather sad in the second one. Think the only thing Bonster had against the smiley one is that she is wearing her old collar rather than her pretty one that matches Bons. As for the ears whichever works best is fine with me, infact I was watching her & Bon play tonight & noticed how she puts them back when she’s happy:).

As for Bonster not sure how much longer he will be able to resist peeking once he realizes I’ve looked lol. Will ask him to let you know which picture he prefers when he logs on tomorrow (he’s back in China again). Oh & take as long as you need the result was more than worth the wait :D

switching collars is a piece of cake, figuring out how the muscles move to raise the ears is harder so if it is ok i will leave them down in the relaxed position then.

I got a good feeling for that pic..i got another question.
is there a tallish flower or something for that little bit of folaige i like to put in that grows wild where you are? i am not familiar with your flora and it is nutty trying to look up native species of grasses, so i will hopefully take a shortcut and ask. Something that would grow tall enough to be level with her chest.
Maybe an olive branch could be a background too..i know they grow there and are slender and have graceful lines like she does.

I think the little bit of plant matter grounds the drawing and keeps it from looking like a floating head.
