I always got carded for cigarettes and alcohol until very recently I even had a few take my ID back and check it lol.

But alas, I guess I am starting to look old now because it doesn't happen anymore :(

I understand the carding thing, when my sister worked at cvs the rule of thumb was if they looked 25 or under, card them just to be safe, and even then they usually carded people that looked 30 or under. :)

I don't mind being carded, but I DO mind being carded and then having them glower at me like it must be a fake ID. Noooooo I'm actually 30. It's totally cool. Give me my beer please. I need more after this interaction with you.

Definitely this.

I have a vertical Mississippi ID, which all that means is I got it when I was like 16 or 17. It says on the ID "UNDER 21 UNTIL xx-xx-xx". It doesn't expire for another year or two.

Not long ago I was nearly denied a drink at dinner because the server apparently couldn't read and said they refused service to me because my ID was a vertical one and they don't serve alcohol to vertical CO licenses.

Uh, no. There are so many things wrong with what you just said. I'm from out of town, I'm of age -22, I have a Mississippi ID, not a CO one. Give me my wine.

They mean mugged me the entire time I was eating.

Sometimes I feel like a walking Nutramax advertisement. "I give my dogs and cats Dasuquin, and I take Cosamin ASU" is what I told a customer today. I also use other products they sell. Because I like the quality, and the science behind.

The other night, when loading Moo into the car, I was telling C that I usually have him off leash when we go to the car, so the leash wasn't a big deal. I go out the driveway and see a woman walking her dog off-leash and go "well, I'm glad you grabbed the leash." She goes across the street and yells that her dog is friendly, and I tell her that mine is not - he's a jackass. She lets her dog come up to us, so I get between the dogs and yell at her dog to keep back, and she acted pretty confused. I explained that my dog isn't friendly with other dogs and her dog would get bitten.

We think she thought I was saying C is a jackass with dogs. :rofl1:

It's been busy around here. Running VBS at church and then inlaws came to visit which was tense to say the least. It's not usualy so tumultuous so that makes it extra stressful dealing with that visit!

Brian is going out of town for a couple days and a friend asked me if we had any plans while he's gone. I said that we didn't have any plans yet but probably a good thing. So she put me on strict "no volunteering" orders lol.

Tonight while texting she said that she has a crazy day ahead of her tomorrow despite just getting home from a huge road trip full of family obligations so I offered to help anyway I could and she was like "whatdid I tell you... NO VOLUNTEERING. Take time OFFFF. jeez" LOL

Who knew that would get me in trouble haha

Hmmmm. Michael just said we could keep Histamine. As our cat. And that she can stay in the house.

But on the stipulation that I cannot get ferrets this winter.

I don't know what to do. :/ I missed having a cat, but I'm not a huge cat person. And I *really* wanted ferrets again. But Histamine needs a home. And I don't know how Abrams would do with ferrets, anyway....

Hmmmmmm.

Preparing for a phone interview I have Monday morning in the hopes of landing a job as an animal attendant at the zoo :S

First job willies. I can't tell if I'm feeling anticipation or nervousness.

It went great! :D I was invited to an in-person interview for today, and that went awesome too! Ahhh I'm so excited, the manager of the animal rides told me everything looked good and that she'd be in touch in the next couple of days, and on top of that she was very friendly and relatable.

Like, my entire youth has prepared me for this, and I while my friends are starting college, I might be walking camels :p
