This! Minnesota is the awesomest place ever.
I'm curious, too!
How the heck does one get into hot air ballooning? It seems like such a random hobby, but I see at least one every day on my way to work and there were THREE this morning (one had a unicorn on it - I want to meet the pilot(?) of that one).
I don't want to be working for myself anymore. I want scheduled hours at a "regular" job. Consistent paychecks = consistent budgeting. Pls.
I woke up feeling really overwhelmed with life. Work changes, life changes - just one of those moments where you stop and think about everything that's happened in recent past, and sort of freak out.
Then I remembered that I'm going on vacation in a week, finally, to my homeland for the first time in a decade... and that made me happy.
Now I'm baking a ton of cookies for my boy and my darling pet sitter. Life is okay.
Essentially being single again sucks. I never realized how much having another person around makes everything so much better.
I was just saying how I need to stop eating all the junk, after my vacation last week :lol-sign: OH WELL, WHAT'S ANOTHER WEEK. nomnomnom
Trying a new shampoo tonight. Have a wedding to be at tomorrow. Don't know that tonight was the best day to try this new shampoo.
Too bad for you. Just pace yourself!
I like how the dogs go to all cute and fluffy one day, then dammnnn bitch you need a haircut!!
I've been thinking about getting Gwyn a cage mate. I was taking a peek at the mice at Petsmart today while I was there getting bedding, and they have the CUTEST little mouse - brown with a little crooked white blaze down her face. I WANT HER SO BAD.
Someone stop me. Tell me this is a terrible idea. Otherwise I may go after work and get her...
Make sure it is a female (the petsmart here only sells males?), then GO FOR IT!
Two mice are better than one! I had Ivy and Tigerlilly, and I felt so bad for Lilly when Ivy passed away. They really enjoyed each others company.
I need to convince my roommate that fostering this dog would be AWESOME. (She has a brother that also needs fostering. He's cute as well but... no spotty nose!)
The Petsmart by me only sells females, the one across town only sells males. BUT I will check myself to be sure I haven't gone to get her YET, but...they're open until 9...
vacation has ended....
Tomorrow is my last day of work for a week! I'm feeling...stressed.
Going to Boston for Mon-Tues, visiting my parents Wednesday, free day Thursday, then going on a camping adventure to the Chicago meetup Friday to Sunday.
We (well DH does) have a meeting on Monday to determine if we'll be moving in two weeks and doubling our living space and meeting Seal-pup and deciding if we're going to be a two dog home.
Eep! Lots of big things happening sooner than expected!
I really hope everything works out for you! As I've told you, we are more than happy to help you!
I have a half-marathon in 2.5 months ..I have not trained. Running 2 dogs in agility training is sort of like running a half. No? Oh..
The universe just knocked my bottle of juice off the counter, breaking the lid off and spilling it everywhere.
I didn't really need all that sugar anyway... But juice! =(
Not that I encourage it, but:
Hal Higdon's Novice 1 plan is 12 weeks:
You can come close. Plan on run-walking. You'll finish. Don't panic.
I last ran about a month ago. My longest 'training' run wasss ..14k in June.
I would normally be in full panic mode because I don't like to do poorly but we're submitting this time for our Disney half& there's 3 of us who want to start in the same corral so we're running it together. My girlfriend& I have roughly a 23 minute 5k ..not stelllllar but not awful. Our other girlfriend running with us has about a 41 minute 5k. So I've been slacking thinking minimal effort will be required for this event. That said, I'll probably start Hal Higdon's plan just for a kick in the ass to put my runners back on again! Thanks
