I live in the country...I love it, as do my two fluffmonsters. Almost every day we take a couple mile long walk down a field lane, past soybeans, cornstalks and alfalfa into the woods. And NEVER have we seen anything besides each other and a few groundhogs. Well yesterday on the way back, walking past the soybeans Sunny stopped. He raised his head and sniffed the air. Then he bounded into the beans, bouncing like a deer through the things. He's done this many times so I wasn't suprised until Stormy joined in, as she usually just stares after him as if he is insane... I couldn't figure out what was up until BOING, out of the field sprung a mama and baby deer:yikes: . The baby was just bigger then Stormy from what I could see, and before I could catch my breath to call them (I was so startled...I've never seen deer in the soybeans before) the chase was on. The silly buggers chased mom and fawn (they were easily 100 feet in front before Sunny and Stormy knew what was happening) until I called them back. They dodging in and out of cornstalks faster then I've seen in agility trials :) . When they came back they had these sad looks on their faces, and kept whining and looking back towards where then had been. Well, today we were walking in the same place, and I guess they figured their "friends" would be right where they had found them before, because for 5 minutes they canvased the area looking for them, then came back to me and whimpered. Poor babies :)

Aw, thats cute! Poor little fawn probably had quite a fright though! Sounds like your dogs had fun!

My dog will chase anything that moves. Unfortunately I'm at the other end of the leash, and it ends up being me chasing Max who's chasing a rabbit :D
