That's so neat! Did you seek out an agency/company or did they just approach you? Merlin is definitely model material though, it'd make for pretty easy sales to have such a handsome dog on the package. 
My aunt's dog Ozzy has done similar things, although I know her fiance has been in commercials and acted as a stunt double (apparently for John Travolta many years back) so I think that probably contributed to the opportunity for Ozzy.

aww sorry guys! Merlin and I are dog sitting so we have been all over the place these days

Hahaha, yes it was. She came home and was like I SAW A PUPPY and holds up the picture and I was like IS THAT MERLIN and she was like 'UH, I didn't catch his name, what?', so then I explained. Small world indeed. :rofl1:
She said he was sooo well behaved for just a puppy.
