Oh, more good news! I walked into work today to see that I had a brown paper bag with my name on it from "Shiloh and Tasha", two GSDs that are members at the park. Inside were 5 or 6 bags of different treats that they like, with a hand written card inside with each's brand name/formula/size and ingredients list. These members are awesome, seriously! <3
We had the adorable SD puppy candidate come into the clinic today. I was playing receptionist. After the appointment, the owner's mother asked me for a hug, and told me I was the most patient, kind person she's ever seen. That made me SUPER happy 
I adore that family, they're so thankful for absolutely everything we do, and they take great care of their dog.

I HAS A GECKO!
No real pictures yet, because my brother's working on the lights in the house so lighting in crap. I have one phone picture on Facebook from the ride home. They didn't have any hatchlings, so I got a young adult. He hasn't truly fired up yet, but I think he's mostly patternless (like I wanted!) with some dal spotting, including on BIG red spot on his neck <3 I don't know his base color yet, but I think it'll end up being yellow. He's been olive, brown, green, and yellow already and I've only had him for an hour and a half. I do need to get a slightly bigger tub soon, he's a bit bigger than I was expecting to get. He's flipping adorable!

Been looking for a good gas mileage car, husband is trading his jeep for a zx2(trading down but thing sucks gas and zx2 gets 3x gas mileage).
My mom stops over today and says her bfs Subaru is garbage and keeps getting stuck when they go on vacation so she is buying a jeep again. She is giving me her Toyota!!!! Not sure when I'll get it but yay!! It costs me 60 ish to fill up my truck and 30 her car. I can drive to Kentucky on a tank in hers but barely make it to Columbus in mine. Now I don't have to worry about financing fuel efficient and f250!

My mom has been surprisingly good natured about things lately.
First, because Juno is on Sojos now, I've been searching for cheap meat to add to it. So today I picked up an order of 25lbs of ground chicken. The fact that she is not freaking out about the concept of the Sojos is incredible. My 25lbs of meat was just all in a large plastic bag, so I portioned it all out into 5lb tubs. And she actually HELPED me in the process. And I was trying to be all careful to keep it all contained and make no mess, and there she was flinging meat all over the place and digging her hands into it. Where did this mother come from? Keep in mind, Juno was on PMR a year ago and she freaked and made me put her back on kibble....
Second, I decided to play Groomer today and start hacking at Happy's hair. It still baffles me that my mom actually agreed to letting me adopt this dog, first of all. My mom HATES dog hair. And there I am, trimming away Happy's hair... in the middle of the living room, getting hair all over the rug and pretty much all over everything.... no complaints, no care at all from her.
It's just WRONG. But really awesome at the same time!

That IS awesome!! I lived with a neat freak roommate, it was terrible, I was constantly stressed and cleaning because I didn't want to have arguments!

She's doing swell on Sojos! NOT losing weight which was my biggest worry! So as long as it is financially doable for me to keep her on it, we're sticking with it.
Had an awesome day yesterday with Kelsey/Brigadoon! Got to meet Fiona, Pirate, and Wesley. Zander wasn't scared to death of them, either, which is always good. And he went out like a light when we got back to the room! Fell in LOVE with Colorado.
Made good headway today on the trip. I got a sunburn yesterday, and that zapped some energy out of me. So that combined with the MILLION of deer we saw made us stop an hour or so early in Topeka instead of St. Joseph (Kansas).
Zander has been SPECTACULAR this trip. I'm SO proud of my fluffy butt. Within 15 minutes he settles down and goes to sleep. No major fear issues, either. He's said hi to a few strangers and practically shoved his head in some fast food windows. It instills some confidence in me that we really are making progress with his issues.
Tomorrow we arrive at our destination and chill out for the rest of the month before heading out to Baltimore and then Italy.
