I went to Cocktails with the Creatures at the zoo last night. It was amazing! I thought we'd get sample size drinks, maybe get slightly buzzed, and a few light snacks. NOPE. Oh here, let's start with an 8 ounce glass of Vodka. And have some bacon wrapped shrimp. And bacon wrapped chicken, because bacon is awesome. Oh, look, MORE FOOD. I'm drunk, so eat it all! Oh, you don't want more alcohol? Just have a sip of this apple whiskey, it tastes like apple juice, so of course you're going to drink the whole glass! Seven different full-size cocktails in all, each with a VERY generous serving of alcohol. Yes, please!

In short, I got very drunk at the zoo and had the time of my life. There's a similar event, Wild Wines, in November. I don't like wine, but now I want to go, because after the first station I'll be too drunk to care if I like wine or not.

Sael, I want to come visit your zoo. Seriously.

Mandy: YAY!

Today, everything is good. I'm not horrifically depressed, and you know what? That makes today great. This is the first day in a long time where I haven't been miserable for a large chunk of the day.

The house is clean (!!!?!). I went on a long drive with one of my friends and managed to keep up with a few motorcyles. Got some new library books. Finished the dishes and some of my laundry.

The kitchen is clean and organized. The house is vacuumed and mopped. I re-organized the bookshelves so that they look pretty, and re-organized the living room so that it looks nicer, too. My bedroom is mostly clean and organized. The house just looks so pretty right now. I want to take pictures.

DO IT. Nao. I still have 2 free tickets ;)

Also, admission to the zoo is $14. Employee price for getting ****-faced at my place of employment? $18.75, all-inclusive. Hell yeah.

My weighted blanket is finally ordered! I mean, ordered, paid for, fabrics chosen, 100% DONE with the ordering process, and it will be here in a month. YAY! It's not Doctor Who, but it's affordable, and it's got paw prints on one side and dog words on the other, so it's still awesome.

Figured out how to do my car registration renewal online. I also ordered vanity plates...

My license plate has a heart and then after the heart it says IBZHND for Ibizan Hound of course. :)

Can't afford road trip. :(

I went racing today (holy crap, I forgot how cheap/fun this is - everyone should do SCCA events) and came home to a clean house. Happy.

Bought more PVC yesterday so finally finished making the last few jumps I needed to use up the jump cups I ordered. I now own fifteen lovely tape-striped jumps with jump cups, my mom has five, and I cut and striped bars for my triple jump too.
I put the first coat of paint on my table.
I forgot I was going to fix up my tire jump too, but maybe tomorrow. If I'm smart, I'll remember to bring my chute home and sew it short because it's too long for AKC regs now.

It's all comin' together. It would be nice to rig up a panel jump, and uhhh a real broad jump instead of soda cartons would be nice.

I found a kibble Buzz can eat. It's quite a bit higher in Phos than I'd like which makes me sad but he's doing really well on it for now.

And it reduces my cost to feed him each day dramatically! After he got sick he could only tolerate raw. Beef specifically. The cheapest I could get beef without egg was nearly $3/pound (with my discount). He was eating 1.5 pounds per day and still not putting any weight back on.

He's currently able to eat 1/2 cup Canine Caviar Herring (which I can get free from work) and about 6oz of raw at each meal. I've seen only good changes (of the poop kind). So... now I need to do math again and see if I even need the premade beef, because I'm pretty sure the overall Phos is too high now. Maybe I can just order the muscle and organ meat, meaning EVEN MORE SAVINGS! And then less stress, because less money!

I was worried about how in going to get to work on Thursday since my car is out of commission. My boss said I can use the work van so I'm getting it tonight. It sits around and doesn't get used anymore because we don't offer a dog taxi service anymore.

My coworkers are awesome. When I told them I would likely need to take 1-2 weeks off around Christmas due to Michael being able to come home and us having our wedding at that time, they all said, "That's okay, we'll make it work!" Even if that means they have to work longer shifts/shifts they normally wouldn't.

They are awesome.
