I was at my dad's last night. He's in preparations for my mom to come home. She's been in the hospital/rehab facility since before Thanksgiving. She's lost over 100 pounds and is moving around much better than when she first went in.

That is amazing news

So class registration was yesterday, and I am thrilled that I got into the biology course I wanted. Over winter break this year I will get to spend 8 days in the Caribbean, doing research on this ship:

I discovered at Christmas time that coffee mate discontinued my most favorite holiday flavor of all time.... Gingerbread. I LOVE it, I would stock up and freeze them so I would have them all year round. Then... just gone, never to return. WAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

I've tried just about every flavor of every creamer I can find and while they are good they aren't good enough....

I got to feed and pet my elephants, rhino, and giraffes today in class <3 I used to work with them regularly as a volunteer, but it's been a long time since I had time to do so...as in, years. It made me so freaking happy, I even teared up a bit <3

I am like, 2 months overdue for a haircut. Even though my sister is a hairstylist, I have to call the salon and make an appointment like a normal person, and since she only works 2 days a week she is normally booked a couple weeks out. Well. When I get to the point where I'm finally thinking "gee I really freaking need a haircut," I want to get it cut NOW. I'm one of "THOSE" people. So finally got around to calling today and to my delight, she still had openings for tomorrow. HALLELUJAH.

Good things are happening in regards to becoming independent, as long as everything goes as planned tomorrow...which it will.

Just had Zinga's rear evaluated by an ortho vet. Her loose hocks will continue to tighten up and shouldn't cause any concern! We are ok'd to train as hard as we want.
