Talking about Cashdogg in an earlier post makes me remember the "GC" puppies. And so I figured I would share the story about these great Rottweiler puppies.

I remember when Tyrease had her first litter of puppies. I remember because I remember her owner Johnny carrying over a small two day old puppy to show me at the bustop  . He was so clueless Tyrease was a small Rottie and really should have never been bred. I didn't think about the puppies much after that day not until 3 weeks later when he asked if I would please come and spend time with Tyrease and the puppies everyday because he was too busy. I agreed and often visited with my bestfriend Lindsay and her little brother Matt.

Originally Tyrease had 12 puppies but had laid on and killed some so only eight survived. After visiting with the puppies and Tyrease everyday a bond grew especially between Tyrease and I. One day while Lindsay and Matt were with me we decided to name the puppies. Back then Lindz and I were into this bad Good Charlotte  actually we were obsessed. And so we named some puppies after members of the band (Billy, Benji, Joel) and some after the songs. And such an amazing personality but we still had to buy different colored collars to tell them apart. There was....

Billy- tall and lanky he was actually the tallest of all the puppies. He was also the "people puppy" he loved people with a capital L lol. We bought him a red collar and wrote his name on with sharpie marker. Billy was everyones favorite.

Benji- stocky and all muscle always and burly bad boy of the group. He was one of "mine" mainly because he was named after my favorite member of the band. He was the hardest to socialize though he finally became the friendly puppy we all knew he was 2 weeks before he was sold. He wore a black studded collar.

Joel- he "belonged" to Lindsay and he wore a yellow collar with his name written on it(her favorite color). Joel wasent the sharpest tool in the shed lol. He was always bumping his head when they would play under the old corn cribs. I never really bonded with Joel like Lindsay did to tell the truth.

Riot Girl- Lol and she was named before I knew Renee . She was named after a song and like Benji she was "mine" and the hardest for me to say goodbye to. The only female to survive Riot Girl could hold her own with her brothers like no other. She actually was the one who had the who litter begging for mercy if need be. She was my shadow and my cuddle bug I loved her so much it broke my heart to say goodbye to her. She wore a hot pink collar with her name written on it. Her name fit her personality so well. She was the first to be sold. I still have both her and Benjis collars.

Cashdogg- named after the human Benjis dog who is a boxer.
Cashdogg "belonged" to Matt and those two had such a strong bond it near killed Matt to say goodbye to that little odd runt puppy. Cashdogg spent most of his time next to his big sister Riot Girl. She protected him and beat up any of their brothers who tried to mess with him. Though Cashdogg did love to clamp on to his brothers ears and not let go until their screaming crying would get my attention and I would break it up. Matt wanted to keep Cashdogg so bad I remember the day he said goodbye to Cashdogg I remember him crying so hard and not being ashamed of it. Cashdogg was the last to be sold. He wore a blue collar with his name written on it.

Valentine- named after the song "My Bloody Valentine". He was like Billy very friendly and loving and loved to be cuddled. He was a rock chewer from a young age and I was always prying pebbles out of his mouth. And a few times he suck those needle sharp milk teeth into my fingers while doing this. I remember once we brought the puppies over to my house. And we were outside eating our dinner on the ground (it was summer) while playing with the puppies. I looked away for one second and the next second I look over to veiw Valentine from behind sitting down in my salad. His little butt covered in Italian dressing :p . Valentine wore purple collar with his name written on it.

Screamer- named after a song though he really did live up to his name. Screamer was the most talky puppy I had ever seen before. He was always barking, growling, crying, howling, or grunting lol. Screamer also "belonged" to Lindsay though she never bonded to him like she did Joel. Screamer wore a teal color with his name written on it.

Hopeless- named after song but definatly not how that puppy was. He was smart and I swear he could understand english lol. He would come and put his two little paws up on any one person and would look straight into your eyes and would smile with his :). Johnny kept Hopeless but he died two months later after he was struck by a car on our busy street (Hopeless not Johnny). I will never forget that puppy and I actually tear up just thinking about him. He wore a black collar with his name written on it not so well with white gel pen lol.

Tyrease had one other litter after the GC puppies. But it wasent the same those they were great puppies I think I was spoiled by the GC litter. Tyrease later died afte being spayed. She was put down in the basement without an supervision her stitches came open and well.......I will skip the gory details but she was lost. And I think it broke Lindsays, Matts, and my heart more then it did her actual owner. I have pictures of the GC puppies somewhere around here I will have to try and find them.

Those puppies were born right when my life was just starting to go to its darkest place. I look back on those times and how innocent those times were and how heart breaking it was to see those puppies go. So much good bundled up in eight little bodies. I didn't want to let all that good go. I still have those memories of packing up all the puppies in the little red wagon to take them to my house or other places. Or the time the puppies were covered in feces and im not sure what else so we had to give them each a mild bath. And then hid them in my room for the rest of the day.

Funny the impact 8 little Rottweiler puppies can have on a person huh?
