Ugh. THIS.

I end up walking home from the park with him like "THIS IS WHY WE CANT HAVE NICE THINGS! STOP PANTING! YOU ARE SO ANNOYING!"

It's the age I guess.. but some days I swear he thinks with his balls instead of his head.

"SiT? WHAT ARE SIT? LOOK MA A SQUIRREL!!!"
At least you can use his age as an excuse :p

I will say one good thing about her: her dog reactivity has been non-existent these days, which has been soooo nice. So even if our park outing was a disaster, at least the walk home was nice!

Also. Unrelated. Happy has suddenly stopped eating poop, since she got sick. I'm not sure why and I'm not sure if it's going to last long-term, but the past week has been incredible lol. I'm not disgusted when she licks me and her breath is now odorless, so I can be in the same room with her when she's breathing.

I let my cattle dogs watch out the window. I probably should not do this. However, they do not obsess and I can call them away and they will play and engage with me. I do not see a problem unless they seem hooked on it.

However, it's still probably frowned upon. Oh well.
Mollie loves looking out of the window. I let her do it. She particularly likes it when I open the window and she gets the breeze on her ears. :p

I have a broken retriever. He can't swim!

I took Abrams and Cynder out to my friend's house today and they ran around with her two Labs. She has an in-ground pool, so we were hoping Abrams would have a good time swimming around, especially since her two Labs swim and he would have swimming buddies.

He tried...and totally failed. LOL He would only swim with his front feet, not his hind feet...and as a result, he would just sort of stay in one spot and not move anywhere. We said we were going to tie some floaties around his bum to see if that would help, but he didn't take too well to the idea. :rofl1:

Why does he not understand that he has two back feet?

He was really interested when we brought out a tennis ball and threw it in the water, and I think had we encouraged him he would have tried to go in after it, but we were worried he'd jump in the deep end and sink and my friend would have to jump in after him because she was wearing less clothes than I was. LOL

Broken retriever. *sigh*

On the bright side, once he realized the two big scary Lab weren't going to eat him or break him, he had a BLAST playing with them. And he is now sleeping soundly on the couch. Yey for tired puppy.

I can't believe I just spent almost $40 for a dog tag. A DOG TAG.

Ah well. She's in need of a new one. And if the cute ones from Etsy are going to fade after a couple years.... well, I suppose my money is better spent on one that's going to (hopefully) last.

ETA can I just disown this dog please. lol. I went to a dog event this weekend and got a bunch of treat samples and whatnot. Juno apparently got into my bag of goodies while I was at work, and she ate my Sojos treat samples and chewed through the plastic Lickety Stik bottle and licked all that up, too. Clearly she knows what she likes. I'm a little upset about the Lickety Stik, I was pretty pumped to get one of those for free because I like using them out in public because they're so easy :(

I guess all the oooh-ing and aaahh-ing I've been doing over puppies recently has made her decide she needs to start acting like one again.

This morning, I think that Cali is convinced that we're all leaving her for the day. She won't stop shivering, and she doesn't seem cold, and she's being even more cuddly than usual. Aside from this, she isn't acting any differently. I thought she might not be feeling well, but she's still just as happy go lucky before and has been eating as she usually does. When she's sick, it's an entirely different scenario because she'll go lie down on the floor and avoid being touched.

Toilet paper. Crossbone's newest game.

Washing dishes & not actively paying attention to him? That's ok! He found his own fun TPing the front porch!

Napping on the couch? Enjoy your new TP decorated living room!

Watching TV? Hey! He'll even bring you the toilet paper roll!

Hey, it could be useful sometime when you're stuck in the bathroom...

Someone needs to explain to me why when I get up and leave a room, I come back to the magic occurrence of a poodle asleep where I was sitting. BEGIN EXPLAINING.

Omg this is Chloe 110%! If someone gets up, she has some kind of "warm butt spot" radar and she goes straight for it.

Oh, my gosh. Apparently, the sound of a dog chewing on a rawhide strip drives me absolutely INSANE. Cynder just knawed on it for about an hour, and now Abrams is carrying it around chewing on it. I cannot stand this any more!

Zander, in addition to his usual obsessive licking, is now chewing and itching. Tons.

I've checked him a dozen times and can't find anything. No fleas, no ticks, not even the odd ant or two that is crawling around in that ridiculously thick coat. Nothing.

This is driving me insane.

We have a blue BMD at work and ALL of my coworkers call her brown. It is driving me crazy. She is not BROWN she is BLUE, there's a huge difference! How am I the only one seeing blue???

Appropriately the question for this post was "What color are blue eyes?" :p

Auggie has a cyst-type thing on his toe with comedones and the vet expressed them. Kind of like popping a pimple except instead of on your face it was on Auggie's toe, and instead of sebum it was dirt that came out.

THIS is the first time I got kinda woozy/grossed out at the vet. Of all the things we've done and I've had to learn how to do myself on my own dogs... I can't even explain why. I'm not sure if it was because I was NOT prepared for what was about to happen. She was like "Oh he has this thing on this toe too... hmm..." then she just squeezed it and it was literally like popping a big pimple and large amounts of black stuff came oozing out.
WHAT
I had to turn my head away until I had kind of acclimated myself to what was going on. I might have to do it myself to make sure it doesn't get full and puffy again so I had to watch and make sure I could do it.

Kiiiiinda gross, that's all.

Mia is the worst beggar in the history of dogs, I swear. But she's SO DARN CUTE when she begs. I'm such a sucker.

Also, Mia let me know this morning that we had finally caught that mouse in a trap (I totally forgot about it to be honest). So we went on a mouse releasing trip.
