welcome to life with a herder-brain. Feel free to tell creeper dogs that you still need your soul and they should go lay down and chew on something
I just typed up a whole long thing about the herder stare and then my comp deleted it.

So I will just re-type the ending...

When you try to outrun your dogs to the bathroom so you can close the door on them and pee in peace. But you know..... that just on the other side of that door there is a herder... sitting.... and STARING. /creepy.

My herders never followed me to the bathroom. Papillons though... yeah. I always love looking through the shower curtain and then realizing Mia is watching me.

Mine follow EVERYBODY to the bathroom... friend comes over to visit and asks to use the bathroom... at least one dog is going to accompany them.

And Payton likes to throw himself against you while you're peeing too.

I'M SORRY. I'M SO SORRY.

Trey would follow some but would always situate himself across a door or down the hall. He wanted to keep tabs on you but was very polite and non invading about it.

Nikki couldn't give a crap. She was in HER SPOT and would come visit on HER TERMS. She was often in another room from me. Often with me but often not.

The paps bore holes into your souls with the constant staring. All 5 of them will follow me around when they're around. Summer will come stand right next to the toilet which I think is more than totally unnecessary. :p

We have the worlds smallest bathroom. Like, it was once a coat closet, but the previous owners turned it into an itty-bitty bathroom. My husband jokes that he doesn't use it because he can't close the door while sitting on it toilet. Somehow, Hudson manages to wedge himself in there with me, with the door closed.

All my herders and herder mixes have felt it their duty to make sure the toilet monster doesn't eat me while I'm peeing. Or they just feel that the need to pee is not an excuse to not continue petting them... so they are in there rubbing all over you like, "hey pet me! play with me! I don't care that you have to pee! Everything is about ME around here!"

Auggie does a version of this, he likes to thread between my legs and rub his face on my pants while I'm sitting on the potty. EXCUSE ME.

Thankfully he only seems to do this with me, not with other people. Although I guess I've never asked... "so hey, while you were sitting there peeing, did Auggie try to play kitty and rub his face all over your legs?"

Kimma likes to creep in on me while I'm in the bathroom but Jari HAS TO BE WITH ME. If I don't shut the door all the way it's inevitable that one of them will open it. Kimma stands and stares while Jari wants to sit on my lap. And mine are supposed to be independent. BAH. That's false :p

Bubbles is just too lazy to care hahaha.

I don't allow mine in the bathroom for this reason, I love them but I have to draw the line somewhere lol.

Our bathroom door doesn't shut properly.
Because of this, every so often if the dogs think I'm taking too long (brushing teeth, make-up etc.) someone will push the door open.
Usually they just check in and leave. I guess to ensure I didn't sneak out on them.

Unless someone is taking a bath.

Cobain loves to lick the side of the tub and the person in the bath o_O

I live alone and shamelessly don't close doors. I bet the shelties never bothered because I always closed the doors back then since I wasn't living alone. Ha mystery solved.

If the door isn't shut, Zoe will stand there and stare at me impatiently.

My cat, on the other hand, will come in and thread herself through the leg hole of my underwear and climb up on the toilet seat behind me and stick her head in to sniff the inside of the bowl. Why cat? Whyyyyy??? If I don't let her in she cries and cries.

Beautiful British Columbia!!
I cannot go out in public with panzer without tons of people asking me a million questions about him and wanting to take his picture.

It's a great opportunity to educate, but man after a whole it gets annoying ha ha
