Today I went to visit Truffles, my chi boy. He looks so different with his eyes open. You should see him crawl around. Wobbly little thing. All the pups are so fat. They look like sausages. One male looks like he might even be a longhair.

This has been my favorite set of pictures yet.

My fave pic. His color REALLY pops in this picture...

And this one.

Fiance holding him.

The rest of the pups snoozin. Their bodies are very fat, especially when you see them in person. Their momma must have some very good milk. lol.

Photoshoped.

Thats all.

I think I might have to change my avatar. He doesn't look like a little fetus anymore. LOL.

Excuse my ignorance if this is a dumb question but I have been wondering, Is it typical for a litter of chi's to be all different colors?

He is getting cuter everyday... I want a puppy I can hold in one palm :(

Yes, it is quite common for chihuahuas to come in many different colors from one litter. Its really neat.

I am thinking that he will look a lot like his half brother. They are even the same color, but my boy is a little darker. He will have a very well pronounced apple domed head and short muzzle.

He will be somewhat stocky like chihuahuas are supposed to be. They're not supposed to be super skinny or have too much of a tuck up. But they're not supposed to be as chunky as pugs either. lol.

I could... NEVER own that dog. It is, however cute, in a furry alien sort of way. The big head is kind of scary, had a bad experience with ankle biters as a kid but I would love a dog that small.

He does look different with that big alien head of his. He actually has the biggest bulbous head of all the pups. He is stockier than the rest.

I have also had bad experiences with chihuahuas and I used to dislike the breed believe it or not. My little sis and I both were attacked by a neighbors chi mix out on the sidewalk. She got my sisters ankle and she was bleeding, but my parents never pressed charges. There are bad examples out of every breed, either due to horrible breeding or lack of socialization.... or both. Chances are, if the parents are aggressive, the puppies will be as well, and thats why I always meet the parents before getting a puppy. I've met too many chihuahuas that were very sweet natured to NOT fall in love with the breed.
