Next year's USDAA Nationals will be held in Tennessee! I was kind of hoping it would be out west for another year, since then it would almost certainly be east for the year after. I think aiming to go next year with Gusto may be pushing my luck a bit :D We'll see.

Since I know we have a ton of other agility people on here now - anyone else planning to try? Meg and I went two years ago when it was in Kentucky, and although the venue left something to be desired, we had a good time. I'd love to take Gusto at some point!

I haven't run Zuma in USDAA yet... mostly because her jump height would likely be 22" and I'm freaking out that it's too high for her to jump. That and it's a long drive. LOL

Just run her in Performance :p That's what I do with Meg (17.75") and probably Gusto, who is just under 17" now. I try other venues, but I admit I'm a USDAA girl through and through!

I've never run USDAA so I'm not sure what it would take for us to qualify...or if it's even possible since I think we'd have to get through starters to the regional? And there are virtually no USDAA trials around here :(

Looking at their calendar of events there are a whopping 3 events within 3 hours of me through the rest of 2012...yeesh

You don't need to go to regionals to go to nationals. The year I went, you needed two Qs each in Steeplechase and Grand Prix to qualify for those classes, and one Q for the team tournament. I think this year they cut it to one Q in everything, because it is the anniversary of Cynosport and they wanted a huge crowd. I assume it will go back to the old requirements next year.

Depending on how Kiba is doing, I would be up for it (and the time and money is doable). I am really bumming about CPE Nationals, Massachusetts last year and New York this year, told friends I was going next year, and it ends up being in frelling OHIO!!

I'm hoping that Z and I will be able to go. Kestrel, too, would be ideal, but I seriously doubt he'll be ready by then.
