Anyone taught stay by using a target? Just to test it out we decided to put Mia on a target on her start lines today and WOW the improvement was immediate! she just really seems to get the idea that 'I keep my paw on this on the ground' until I get released. Probably because she's so programmed to hit things with her paw and stand on things. It's working out really great.
