Swollen eye- a bee sting maybe??

Zoe and I are going to the vet in about 10 minutes. I noticed her left eye is a bit swollen- about 1/3 shut. She went running around a field this morning so I'm thinking she may have gotten stung. Better safe than sorry. Keep your fingers crossed that it's not serious!

could also be an allergy reaction, or some dust or something in the eye.

Did you automatically give her Benadryl at all?

Poor little girly.. eye issues are definately nothing to mess around with - glad you took her into the vets!

We're back. Vet thinks it's just a little irritation. She did a test with an ultraviolet device to make sure her cornea isn't scratched- and it's not. She thinks it just got irritated by something- maybe some plant in the field she was playing in this morning. She gave me an antiobotic to put in her eye just in case. I think she'll be ok.

thanks, me too! My hubby thinks I'm a worry wart, but I'd rather be safe and take her to the vet than be sorry later!
