His right iliopsoas (groin) again, the same one as two years ago. Rehab that time took five months. I am just absolutely devastated. He is such a good dog, and such an active dog, and now our summer is crate rest and five minute leash walks and rehab exercises instead of hiking and swimming and frisbee and agility and flyball.

I am just sick about this. He's as fit as I can make him. I am so scared that it's going to keep happening again and again and again.

I am so so sorry hun. You have done everything you could to try to make and keep him sound. Smudge is the soundest he's been in five years.. and is only sound now from my sheer dumb luck.

Vibes for a speedy heal. Victor has re hurt his carpel injury several times which is nothing in comparison but it does make me feel for the no fun, no play, worry worry that comes with it. THe last time he was only down a couple weeks. Last summer was a complete bust. He says to send his well wishes too. No active good boy should be down during the fun in the sun months.

Poor Steve and poor you. He's lucky he has a mama who cares so much though.

On a side note I've thought you were a guy since... forever.

Well that really blows. Poor Steve and poor you. Ugh.
This could mean less stress between him and the Bean though... until Bean is older and Steve may find him more tolerable? Looking for a bright side.

Ugh!!! That totally sucks. I can't imagine crate rest with an active dog like that, lots of kongs I guess! Crossing fingers for a speedy recovery!
