In my email

Her pain has been managed effectively since about midnight night before last. I'm with her right now and she looked right at me and blurted out "help me I think I'm going to die!" We've been talking about it. I've been reading all your messages to her and the posts from all the loving caring ppl on Chaz and it means so much to her. I tell her each person's Chaz name before reading their note to her and she nods she knows exactly who they are and nods and hums an "awwww" after hearing their kind words and yours. What a blessing if she goes right now happy with those kind words from all those who truly care about Grammy. She said she is not afraid. You can post this if you'd like. God bless...

Grammy,
it is your turn to go. You have taught us all so much, and you have fulfilled your purpose on this earth. You are needed elsewhere now, please do not be afraid. Your goldens are all eagerly awaiting your arrival. Please go knowing that we all love you, and that you have taught us much more than you probably realize. May your journey be a peaceful one, we are all with you while you make this transition.
Thank you for everything that you have taught me, for the pleasantness you have brought to this forum. You were always there for me when I "needed a shoulder to cry on", and for that I am forever grateful.
Know that it is ok for you to let go, and to continue on. It is your turn now. We love you, and will never forget you.

Grammy, I still don't know what to say. :( (HUGS) to you! You were one of the first people I met on Chaz, and were a big part of my Chaz family. I/We greatly miss you! I still haven't gotten used to your daily posts not being there daily, and every day I hope you will be here.
Gipsy sends you lots of kisses! We love you!

Grammy, this forum is not the same without you... I have not been able to post a lot, but when I came back I missed your posts...

Today a gorgeous gray faced Golden came in with a customer, the guy likely thought I was nuts when I was petting this sweet old dog with tears in my eyes....

We will miss you....

Grammy, I've written this letter a million times but I'm gonna try again! You were the grammy I never had and were the first to make me feel welcome here. The first time I posted a picture here you told me I was beautiful and I remember wishing you were my mom. You are one of the most beautiful people I've ever known, you are honest and kind and special and you have a way of speaking your mind and being strong even if it isn't the easiest thing to say lol
Your kind words always made me smile and you taught me lessons I'll never ever forget. and I'll miss you like crazy! I feel like something has been missing here since you left, like maybe you were the glue that brought this family together.
I wish I could hug you or something but thats impossible and I don't think there are enough of these.
((((HUGS)))) to make up for that
I don't want you to be in pain, and I've been praying for you every night. I know you'll be greeted in heaven by plenty of great people (and doggies of course!) who will be very happy to see you

so for now,
I love you
and I'll never forget you

Got this from Amy a little bit ago :)

God is good!! She wants some wine and just pointed her finger at me and said "I wanted to tell you something". She thought a minute and said "This is the BEST I have felt in 3 days!" :)
After reading Fran's post:

Just read it and she said how special she thinks Francheska is and that there are many special ppl to her on Chaz.

So glad Grammy is enjoying some wine with Amy. I just got back with a bottle of wine and poured some into a special glass. I decorated one for Grammy a couple of years ago and have one for me so I'm drinking in honor of a special lady in my life. Here's to you Grammy!

I'm so glad to hear that she is in better spirits. I really hope that they will effectively manage her pain so she can spend her last moments pain free.

Grammy, I want you to know that Bamm and I are still thinking about you every day. We absolutely love you and you are surely going to be missed. You have been an inspiration to me and I've always respected your opinions on things and loved hearing stories about your bond with Ollie.

We will never forget you and I pray for you every night.

Love,
Amber and Bamm

Grammy, you've always been special to me. Chaz is so strange without you. We didn't always agree, but I've always adored and respected you. You were one of the first people I talked to on Chaz, and you made me feel welcome. You said something about having room for me under your Grammy wings. I've loved the comfort of that and I'll miss you. Now you get to spread those wings and meet your Goldens at the bridge. Give Chip and Bubba a scratch on the head for me, okay?
I love you so much and I'll miss you tons.
Whenever I see the warm brown eyes of a Golden Retriever, I'll think of you.

Love,
Virginia

(Sending you massive hugs. I wish I could could give you one in person.)

Oh I am so happy that Grammy is not having that pain and is enjoying wine. I remember she often mentioned having wine. LOL. I remember lots humor from Grammy's posts. What a delightful lady! Sometimes she'd be going along, kind of quietly in her rather controlled way and then out of the blue, when I was least expecting it, she'd come out with something so cleverly hilarious, I'd burst out laughing. Such a quietly wise woman, always the one to keep the peace around here. What a difference you made in so very many lives. Grammy, you have always been and always will be so looked up to, so revered.

I'm so glad to hear that Grammy is enjoying a glass of wine.

Grammy, we miss you so much. Every day I think about you. Rylie, Chloe, Tucker, Rory, and little Emma all send kisses your way. We keep you in our thoughts daily. Your posts were so full of humor and wisdom and we'll never forget the impact you've made on Chaz over the years.

Grammy, you are going to be bombarded with love at the bridge once all of your goldens see you! I bet you'll get SO many tail wags and kisses!

I miss Grammy so much. ): She's always been so nice to me and this forum will not be the same without her. A while ago, she sent me a card, I think it was around a time when I was in the hospital, and it's been on the refrigerator ever since. I don't think I ever actually said thank you, and how it really meant a lot.
Grammy, thank you for being so awesome. You will never be forgotten and we'll all miss you tons.

I remember when I was going through my depression a while back. Between the hormones fluctuating after my hysterectomy because my ovaries were failing... and all the stress in my life because of the whole arielle ordeal... I left chaz for a while.

I had my feelings hurt by someone and I had pretty much made my mind up I wasn't coming back. Then one day I got this private message from Grammy and she was asking me how I was and how the girls were. She was genuinely concerned as were a few other wonderful chaz people who encouraged me to come back.

I remember feeling so loved and it was the nudge I needed to come back. She cares about all of us and our families. I would have loved for her to be my real grammy since I lost both of mine several years back. She cracked me up with the way she would just say it like it is... I am like that in many ways.

Grammy.. you deserve to be carefree. God will be sending for you soon because he has such grand plans for you with him. Don't be scared, embrace him when you see him. He will comfort you and your family. This is the beginning of a new life of eternity for you. I will see you again one day. I know you have faith in God from the private conversations we've shared. Let your faith guide you on this next journey. I'm sad to see you go, but I'm excited to know you are in good hands when you leave us. We love you Grammy, and we will greatly miss you. (((((hugs)))))))

Gosh, I told myself I was not going to cry when I wrote my goodbye to you, but the tears are just streaming down my face :( I even have that awful lump in the back of my throat. This is just so hard for us. We're all afraid to keep opening this thread in fear of hearing the news you've left us.

Grammy,

You have always inspired me, and I hope to become as strong of a woman as you are. You were "my" grammy here; when I was homesick, you gave me a sense of belonging to a bigger family. I admire your strength, your humor, your honestly, and so much more. You have given so much love not only to your family and your little Nash, but also to each and everyone here, and there was always room for one more under your wings.

We love you Grammy!

Just want you to know, Grammy, I love you, and I miss having you around in mod chat as well as the forum. I will send you a picture of Titus this week, so you can see how big he has become.

See if you can get one of the nurses to let you and Amy share a nice bottle of wine while you are chatting about us. :D
