Not sure if you remember my very first foster dog Sonja. I had her for about 8 months because she had heartworm and kidney disease.

With a very heavy heart I share that Sonja passed this past Friday. Her mom asked me to come and spend some time with both her and Sonja and if I can come with her to help Sonja pass to the bridge. So Sonja died with both her mom's by her side.

Sonja will forever hold a part of my heart, she was by far the most special dog I had the honour of having for the time that she was with me.

I also couldn't have asked for a better home than where Sonja was, this family are the types of people we wish can adopt all of our rescue dogs. They adored her and she loved them just as much. They gave her the love and respect every dog should feel from their family.

Run free from pain Sonja. We all love you dearly and will be looking forward to seeing you again.

Thank you so much for all you did for her, and for being there with her and surrounding her with love to the last breath.

Good journey, Sonja. Come again and find your way to those who love you.

So sorry. I'm glad you were both there for her; I know she felt the love coming.
