Some Thoughts Please?

I just went to pick up my 14 year old cat and found a relatively large lump on her side, it is pretty hard.

Now I am really upset, I am going into the Vet tmrw AM.

Just want some thoughts for my girl

Just got back from the Vet...

they think it is just a cyst, but they did extract some of it to test... we will have the results in a few days.

Since she is 14 and has been drinking a lot more then normal and lost a little bit of weight they decided to do a geriatric blood panel as well.

Otherwise, the vet says she seems pretty healthy for a 14 year old cat.

The results are back and they believe it is a very agressive form of cancer

I just lost my dog to cancer a few months ago and do not know how I am going to deal with this again.

She is going in next week for the surgery... they will remove the tumor, that we feel, see if it is the only one and then send it away for testing.

I am really worried for her to go in and have the surgery, my dog went in for surgery and it was so bad already that the decision was made to put her to sleep as they felt she was probably already in too much pain and being awoken from the surgery would only be painful for her.... I know she has to have the surgery as it is the only thing left to be done.

Well I will update after the surgery next week...
Again, please keep her in your thoughts.
