My little kitty Katelina, has decided that she is going to wake me up every hour during the night, she climbs onto my pillow purring, then she starts face rubbing, then patting me in the eye socket with her paw and if I still don't wake up she tries to hook a claw under my eyelid to open my eyes up!! She has managed this once, and i'm a little worried that she will damage my eyes!! So I get up and what does she want?!!! Nothing at all, she doesn't want fed, she doesn't need to go to the toilet! She just wants a cuddle!! Am starting to lose the plot a bit, I need my sleep or i'm hopeless!! :( What can I do?!! Oh yeah if I shut her out of the bedroom she howls the place down and she has really got a set of lungs on her, she can keep going for hours, and I still wouldn't be able to get any sleep!!

Help me please, sleep deprivation not good!! :)

Oh, I feel for you! When Gonzo first moved in with me (he was HUGE even then, by the way) he was on the 2:00 a.m. playing schedule. He would put his nose right up against mine and just purr like an outboard racing motor, then he would pat my eyelids, then comb my hair out with his claws (felt good until he hit a snarl, lol). By this time I would be half-awake, struggling to stay asleep. I'd get up and put him out of the bedroom and he'd go in the bathroom, find something plastic, knock it in the sink and start batting it around and around and around and around and around . . . If that didn't get me up he'd jump in the bathtub (acoustics, you see) and YOWL at the top of his lungs! I'd give up, get up and bring him back to bed, lay down and wrap my arm around him and tell him it was time to sleep and purr at him for awhile. After about a week and a half he decided to forego the whole ritual and just go to bed.

Erp used to do that stuff, I used to leave my door cracked while I slept so she could go in and out of the room. I had to deal with 2 heat cycles from her as well before she got fixed.

Her yowling wasnt bad and she has never been a loud cat. I think before she found her way here, as a kitten something happened to her voice box.

The cats I had as a kid were outdoor cats and spent minimal time indoors, untill we moved to the city. After Claire, the female, died, Cineli the male spent more time indoors but preferred out unless it was really cold.

So Im not much help here, but since I allready typed it Im gonna post it.
