They boys made me soooooooo proud today! A friend of mine is in hair dressing school ATM and has a huge project where she has to do a fancy hair do on a model of her choice and has to plan out make up and costume as well for a photo shoot. Then with the pictures they have to make a poster board with info regarding the hairstyle they chose, the theme, why they chose the model they did etc etc. Jess (my friend) decided to have her theme be "The Lady of the Woods" and asked if she could use OC and Ronan to model for the photoshoot along with Connie (her human model). Of course I agreed and today was the photoshoot! At first I was a bit skeptical about how Ronan would react to modeling. OC has been in various professional photoshoots before so to him, this was an old game, but Ronan has only done one before which extremely simplistic but posing at home with him was always iffy. Either he was "on" and would nail every pose I put him in or he would get wierded out anytime I would try to get him into a specific position. Jess assured me it wasnt a problem though and I should bring both dogs. If Ronan didnt feel like co-operating we would just use OC. We left this morning at 7:30am with all of us just barely awake LOL The boys were so well behaved at the salon! I had their traffic leads on and they were more than content to just lay next to me without me hanging on to them and just watch all the commotion of 25 students (mostly girls, with a couple guys) frantically readying their models. They also took it upon themselves to greet all the customers that came into the salon to book an appointment LOL They never made a sound, they never got in anyones way and they happily lapped up all the attention everyone was giving them (attention whores!). For the actual photoshoot I had myself armed with various treats and two squeekie toys. BOTH boys were amazing!!!!! Ours was the first phtooshoot that the photographer was actually getting excited about! Teh whole school (including Jess' class and the other two classes who were still working on manicans) stopped what they were doing to come watch us! The boys were spot on with their poses. Ronan and OC got a couple solo ones with Connie. I was grinning from ear to ear for their co-operation. Ronan didnt get wierded out once and took everything in stride. One of the main teachers was so impressed with them that she even asked if she could use the boys for moe photoshoots at a later date to represent the salon and the school! The photographer said she has never worked with prettier or better-behaved dogs, even ones that are supposedly "professionals". Now the boys are exhausted as it has been such a long day for them (lots of mental stimulation and stresses). I dont have a single complaint about them at all. The pictures should be uploaded by the photographer by next week and I will be sure to share the link with you guys. I think Jess took a couple before pics too that I will ask her for. Either way I will post pics as soon as I get them. I'm so proud!!!!
