who was your animal communicator? I contacted one a little while ago about Beezer... and since then he's improved ten fold.

Welcome to Green Hope Farm! they have an animal line and the animal communicator I worked with told me about and I read through all the different ones and found some that applied to him and they REALLY helped him.

personally I wouldnt change good based on someone who "communicated" with my animal.

First, I would have vet tests done and see what we are dealing with.

However, switching to a different food if your dog has stomach issues is a good idea... I would change to something with 1 protein source like lamb or duck.

Have you tried Fromm or Eagle Packs Duck and Sweet potato lines?
The Orijen fish formula only has fish for protein, and no grains. It's a pretty good food IMO. I think she said she'd go to the vet for the ulcer. :)

I think the animal communicator sounds fascinating, though I'm not entirely sold.

You know... before I contacted the animal communicator I talked to about beezer I thougth it was a bunch of hooey. but he was just so SAD all the time and so timid and I felt that we were failing at being able to connect with him so I was willing to try anything.

After talking with her and her "reading him" everything made perfect sense. she said that he was feeling that this was only a temporary home and he would be kicked out again as he had been through many homes in his short life. and she also felt that he sensed the end of his time with us coming soon... which made a lot of sense because we were packing up our old place at this time to move. I told her that after she mentioned that he was feeling especially insecure about something. she said that once we moved and he saw that he got to come with us he would probably feel a lot more comfortable but just to keep reassuring him and giving him some extra special attention. and she also recommended some essence oils. got him one for anxiety and one for abandonment.

Since then... he has improved in an amazing way. he finally seems... comfortable and while he still has his moments where he shy's away or cowers at a hand movement he has really come out of his shell. It seems like he finally GETS it. that he's not going anywhere. and she was right.. the move was a big turning point for him.

so while it may have been something anyone could have told me... it was somethign we were stumped about and were at a loss as to how to help him. and she helped us through that and he's a totally changed dog :)

Did she meet with him or was this a phone consultation?

Honestly, if I thought my dog needed it, I would totally do it -- I'm a leave- no-stone-unturned kind of person. I'm so glad it helped your boy. :)

Honestly, if it leads to nothing it leads to nothing, if I get him eating it was MORE than worth the small amount I spent.

And I think people keep skipping over the fact that she told me to go to the vet about ulcers. She didn't give me rx drugs and say here give him these! She recommended some to ask for when at the vet, but there's nothing wrong with that.

And if he does prefer a fish formula, I would have gotten there eventually, this just saved me from trying a million other kinds before getting this one.

It was over the phone. I sent her a photo of him and the photo also had Belle in it and she made a comment during the conversation about how Beezer was very uneasy and anxious and just wasn't able to feel settled and then she says but your other dog is HOME as far as she is concerned. she said "she is extremely comfortable and confident and is very relaxed"

YEAH if belle was more relaxed she would be DEAD lol.

Xp... what was your readers first name? just wondering if it might be the same lady I talked to :D

I would love to talk to an animal communicator, too... I'm just so scared of getting a BS one... not that I don't believe that there are definitely legit psychics in the world.

It sounds like she gave you really good, sound advice! And it's sweet that she's making a charm for Muff. I didn't know he was fearful. :( Fozzie has some confidence issues as well.

Orijen is really good! Personally, I love Acana Provincials, and they also have a fish formula with several different types of fish. Fozzie probably does best on Natural Balance out of any kibble, strangely enough, like Romy suggested. It's a lot less costly than Orijen, so maybe you could get some sample bags of that and see if he likes it?

Sparks: it's not the same person. You had given me her contact info & after telling me she'd call... Then she just kinda disappeared off the face of the earth.

Gonzo: yeah there are def ones that are bs. But I've also heard some really great stories. And one of the things I liked about this person is that on her site, she says something about if you don't have enough $ than call her anyway and bc she doesn't want animals to not be able to get help. And the charms are pretty cute! I saw pics of ones she made for other people.
