Trying to make some nice ones for my son. He said Christmas wouldn't be the same without them once, and that meant a lot to me. Since they aren't like cookies or fudge, which I am sure he would have enjoyed too. It is a part of my Christmas tradition, and i use to send them out with my cards, but I can't send cards this year. ANyone else try to make them? I have been trying every year since I was little. LASt year was my best year ever and I am afraid I am not even close this year. I keep hoping with every one I cut. I like them because you can leave them up after the rest of the holiday stuff comes down. At least I do. I didnt' ahve any two sided tape so had to use regular on the window. IT's better if you have two sided tape because then tiny pieces can be used and it doesnt' show, and isn't so hard to get off afterward.

your snowflakes are so beautiful--I haven't made them in a very long time--and certainly not as intricate as yours.

Trying to make silver dollar size is maddening but that is the size I would like to do.
Takes the right scissors and a tight exact fold which is the hardest part of all. I think. I want more like last year darn it.

Your spose to put them in the window:p Tho I confess I have one held back, it is in my portfolio.I hate to think I won't make another like last year tho. STill trying. I would like a nice dozen or so for my son. I told him i was making him some on the phone today and he said he was glad I was. If I don't catch Hyia's virus I will put them in a window in his home next week.

I never decorate anymore, and my windows are the old fashioned ones with they tiny panes anyway. Besides, this way I get to keep them :)

To anyone who's never seen smkie's snowflakes in person........though the pictures of them are lovely, they do not do them justice. They are BEAUTIFUL and so delicate. you can see so much time, patience and love in each one.

I have been meaning to laminate mine so I can display them and still be able to keep them, LOL
