Bronki always slept with his head on my heart..those nights after he died..that was the most vacant spot in my whole soul..now when i wake up in the wee hours..Victor head rests in exactly the same spot..not Bronki, not the same, but victor somehow where i need him the most. It is good to be a mum that is so loved.

Someday..a long time from now for i am booked forever, but i would like to try to paint that fur of Mr Mikey. I think it is one of the greatest coats i have ever seen..like the ripples of warmth in polished wood...I don't know how i would even approach..trying to bring lite under the surface, but it would be wonderful to try.

The first time I pulled up this thread the close up photos of the boys didn't come up. How in the world do you not just hug Maverick's neck every time he looks at you?

Ummm I do! He's very hugable. Unless he is wet and stinky - then he just gets some head rubs and scratches. Hee hee hee. He's so tall and easy to hug. LOL

That would be neat to see. I guess I take him for granted cuz I see him all the time but he does have a neat coat. I like it being described as an otter. :D I wonder if it will change at all in the summer.

Funny thing, there's no room for the dogs to sleep on the bed with Steve and I. We have a double and it's just not big enough. We plan on getting a bigger one. Anyway, Steve always gets up first and I always wake up with a dog curled up on the pillow next to me - Mikey. LOL Maverick doesn't really like sleeping on the bed. I think he would need his own bed as he likes to stretch out. And I think he gets to hot.

This morning Mary seemed a bit achey and had plunked herself down infront of the space heater which was not running..i called her up on the chaise with me and covered her up..then Victor decided he too needed a bit of warmth so he wiggled in (still on narrow chaise) we all covered up and mary was so toasty and warm between us! You should have heard her sigh..it was a happy sigh at that. Good thing that Vic and Me are narrow or we wouldn't have fit at all.

LOL That's a cute imagine. They are so great for cool days. :) Now it's absolutely sunny and they are both sun bathing. Even maverick who is probably cooking. :) I couldn't get them in now if I wanted.

I can see them smiling and wagging already. Hope this ball fairs better than their big ball!
