A friend of mine was going to buy a BYB shih tzu puppy because she really really really wants a puppy and soon, despite everything I've told her about BYB's and about this breeder in general, but...I went with her today to pick up the dog. Well, we get to where we're supposed to pick up the dog, because the actual breeder went to the lake this weekend and left the dog with her father for my friend to get, anyway we get there and the guy has not one clue that we were even coming! He didn't know a thing about it and the breeder wasn't answering her cell phone...it was a mess. I was biting my tongue until we got in the car and then I just said "it's a sign." And she agreed and said that this made up her mind to not give any money to this lady who made her drive almost an hour for nothing!! So I still have a chance to find her a good puppy or rescue pup!!!!

It is a total sign. That's good that she isn't supporting a bad breeder and you have a second chance to be able to find her something better.

It's definitely a sign, glad she agreed easily. She friend will be happy soon as she rescued and loved a dog.

St. Louis is about 4 hours from us...she's driven out once to look at a dog, so maybe she would do it again? I'm not sure...she's already had to 'disappoint' her two girls twice. I'll definietly send her the link so she can even ask if that rescue would adopt out this far. Technically it's an out of state adoption...
