I would suggest Innova for puppies. It a very good brand of dog food (holistic) and most dogs like the taste. I'm not sure about the treats since she will be a very tiny puppy but I'm sure others will be able to help.

Mother Hubbards makes a good selection of different treats. Innova makes treats, Karma, another one of NaturaPet's lines, makes treats. I've found some other good ones from Barnstone. Some stores will even have good ones from actual bakeries that use good ingredients.

If he likes his food you can just feed him his kibble as treats too

Saje, that's just what Carl is doing; he thinks Kona shouldn't have treats like CJ and Max because then she will always want them. Men, men, men!!!!!!!!!!! That's all I have to say....

'Tis too if you like you're food. I like avocados and I'd shake a paw for them. :D

I'd like to see that, will you be sitting on your haunches while you shake? :D

LOl, i dont even know if i know where any of thsoe stores are at, ive never heard of them  im soo deprived, i have a child i obviously dont get out much!! ;)

No kidding I haven't seen a movie in like 3 years, but I guess I can't blame that on the kid. :D We give Carey Dentabones, but they're kinda big. We used to break'em up for my poodle, but I don't know about them for a puppy.

I too fed my puppies ( shih tzus ) Innova Puppy from the moment I brought them home. Make sure you introduce the food over a period of 7-10 days. 1st day, 90% old, 10% new, 2nd day 80% old, 20% new...until last day 100% new food. As for treats, I gave them ( still do ) a puppy kong stuffed with kibble and sealed with a bit of Jif peanut butter.
Best wishes,

I've never done the slow switch - just put the Innova in the bowl right away and ditched the junk immediately. A few days of loose stools is the only effect - just their intestines throwing off the old toxic stuff in there.

I didn't have luck with the Mother Hubbard treats, they all contain wheat and mollasses, my pups had terrible diarrhea until I stopped giving it to them. I found chicken strips ( 100% natural ) with no salt nor additives at Trader Joe's. Dr. Foster and Smith Website also sells it. My pups love them! and is an added source of protein. I also give them Innova bisquits and Karma both made by Natura. They don't like them anymore ( wondering why? )
