Okay guys. A little help. While we love seeing the pups and various critters in the photos in your sigs, can you please, PLEASE size them down to a reasonable area?

It's getting out of hand, having to scroll through one huge signature after another, especially for those of us who are DSL impaired and have to wait for dial-up to download all of these giga-mous images.

Not to mention it's probably daunting to possible new members! Wouldn't you just hate to think that having to wait for all of these big images to load might discourage someone from joining us?

Thanks! If you need any help re-sizing, there are several of the mods who are very picture-savvy and can help you with it, and there are some members who will be glad to make you one of those collages that you see in some sigs.

possibly the forum could be set to display sigs only once? I'm not as familiar w/ vBulletin as I used to be & as I am w/ other scripts, but members can probably turn sigs off, though new members might not figure out how... Also, I'm sure there's a mod/hack for vBulletin that will control sig size (res., # of images, amount of text, etc.) I have a few sites w/ forums running IPB & just have it set in the forum rules & the moderators and I are pretty good at letting people know their sigs are too big and people usually have no problem changing them... The biggest problem is for those using dial up, or have an older computer. Here at work, I'm using an antique and if it's not 56k friendly, I know this machine will have a hard time w/ it.. :)

I'm never going back to Dial-up, Once you've got fast internet, you don't want to lose it. LOL
