I have been looking into getting a Female siberian husky and i have a few questions:

First, i hear that females are more prone to stay around the house and wont run off as soon as u open the door like the males. Is this true?

Second, what is a good size kennels for them?

Third, does this dog have to be out side 90% of the time or is this more of a inside dog that gets let out to roam the yard for a few hours of the day?

Forth, are males for active then female, do the males need more attention?

anything else u can tell me about this breed would help...
thanks :D

No this is not true females are just as prone to running off as males it all goes on how well is this dog trained and how much excersise and attention is it given. Females especially when in heat if not spayed will especially make a mad dash looking for an intact male. Huskies are fast and tend to turn off their ears if not trained properly.

Im not sure what you mean by this question are you meaning crate, or dog run? I will give you measurements of mine later I have indoor and barn huskies because i cannot fit all 15 in my home (I am a dog musher and they make up my team) so i turned the barn into one large kennel.

Third, does this dog have to be out side 90% of the time or is this more of a inside dog that gets let out to roam the yard for a few hours of the day?

A a Husky can be either but they do need excersise and ALOT of attention I would prefer you keep yours as a house pet as i am against people who can have their dog in their home but set in them out in a run with a dog house instead. A husky is an extremly intelligent dog breed and you have to give them credit for it they want and NEED human companionship. They need to groomed everyday.

Forth, are males for active then female, do the males need more attention?

Both are equally active they are a working dog breed they NEED to run and play and be with you. If not they WILL run away and they WILL rebel. They need to be socialized at a young age or they will become agressive with other dogs. THEY BOTH NEED ATTENTION EQUALLY!!!!!!!! Sounds to me like you just want a husky to say you have a husky. I don't think this breed is right for you. They both need a large amount of attention and need to be loved and a part of the FAMILY  . Sorry but I have grown up around this breed and could not bare to see one so sad.

no not true i was just askin these questions because i got these questions from people in my household.
there is always some one home 90% of the time so i was just wondering if it will tear up the place incause some one is gone thats why i asked about a kennel for out side ( a big enough area where is can walk, jump and fool around with a dog house inside for sleeping and cover)

The dog will be just like another memeber of the house hold just like my last dog so it will get PLENTY of attention lol

my old dog was a small dog..pretty much the size of a few month old husky so im trying to learn as much as i can about this type of breed and make it as comfortable as possible

I want this dog to be a house dog..but other people in the house dont think this breed can be house pets and there supose to be outside most of the time.

And the thing about them running away once u open the door, my last dog did that to other people that let him out so i wanna make sure they know to have them on a leash and be out side with them.

Also my buddy has a siberian husky that is a house dog it gets let out just like any other dog and sleeps on a big dog pillow, its also pretty tame so im just wondering why everyone is saying every husky is sooo energetic
