Well we left the house at 6am for the two hour journey, and got there in good time. Fred was a bit unsure at first but better than I expected!

We were in minor puppy, puppy and puppy stakes. No idea what I was doing, but had a quick crash course from the breeder lol! Well, we took second minor puppy and first in puppy! Didn't place in the stakes, but he'd had enough then as our classes were straight after each other.

We have qualified for Crufts in our first ever show!!

He was sooo good. He's such a dope, just love him. His bro and sis were there, but didn't place. I got pics of them all which ill post later!! Fred is such a chunky monkey compared to them! Im biased but he's definitely the best!!

Anyway, fred and his winnings!! They don't give rosettes out, and the breeder got me them as a surprise as it was our first show! Aww!

Wooooo! Go team Fred!

Congratulations, that's great! Did he behave himself in the ring? Lots of puppies get so excited they can't keep 4 legs in the ground.

He was ok. Mainly me not knowing what I'm doing! The judge was very complimentary even though she said he's a bit naughty LOL. Said I must persist with him as he's very nice. Will be interesting to read the critique.

Learnt lots though. Funny world dog showing. Definitely a sport for owners not dogs! Going to try a few more though and know what I need to work on now at least.

He is SHATTERED now bless him!

Eta - can't pass up an opportunity to show a dog at Crufts, can I!!!

Thanks :D

oooo congrats! Wow, what a thoughtful gesture on your breeder's part to bring the rosettes.
She bought them after we had been in, there was a stall selling them. They only gave out rosettes in some classes. Not sure why!

Congratulations, well done! Glad the breeder bought you the rosettes. I always find it a little odd that they don't give them out over there, particularly as I know the cost of entry is high. But oh well, different strokes.... You'll want to have these, though!

Aww congrats! This is just a question out of curiosity, but do you guys do red as first place and blue as second over there? I notice that "FIRST" is written in red and the red rosette is bigger. Over here, first is always blue and second is always red! Or I could just be over analyzing haha!

Thanks. We are still buzzing from it!

Yes, the first rosette is red, and second is blue. I don't know if that's usual or not, but I presume it is??

They used to give out rosettes at shows more than they do now. In fact, rosettes as a whole aren't given out as often for anything anymore.... How do I know this you may wonder? My father owns a trophy business ;)

Got another champ show lined up for April, so guess we'll soon find out if it was beginners luck!!!!
