Should moderators be able to delete their own threads IF...

See, I can understand people changing there minds about things.. But Stories changing COMPLETLY?

shes not charging me for this little guy, shes simply letting me have him as a good friend, and he will be neutered at between 6-8 mths (ruby is already spayed) he has been dewormed, dewclaws removed and will be up to date on shots before comming home.

In another thread, she mentioned that ruby was spayed and everything?

Im just having a VERY hard time understanding. And foxy was somebody that I respected.. I have a feeling that if you had seen her posts, you may feel differently.

I just hope that people don't dig up things I said years ago. Its not that I lie, its that over time I change my mind. I might intend to do one thing, or believe 'x' is the best and then change my opinion. (hey I did train with choke chains and e collars at one point)

I am not sure what happened in that thread as I only read it when it was only a few posts long. I am not sure what had been said etc. So I can't weigh in on 'the issues'.

When she posted in the recent thread how she claimed to have gotten ruby, it was almost an exact quote of the story she told us about how she got Jasper? ..

But, I do agree with Jessie, Laur, Jules, etc that it isn't right for a mod to delete her own thread and change past posts because people started asking questions and things didn't line up.

Honestly, now I think it's mainly about Mods being able to delete THEIR OWN threads and edit THEIR OWN posts from YEARS ago, to get rid of anything that conflicts with what they're saying now. Yes, we're all upset that foxy lied. Yes, it's very upsetting because we all liked her. But I'm mostly upset about the abuse of mod privs.

I really wish that the deleted thread could be put back on the board. When I last read it, all it was was questions and even a bit of advice to stop any hard feelings. It wasn't the witch hunt that normally goes on here.... but now no one can read it to see what was going on.

going to toss in my .02 worth--I don't think threads or posts should be deleted- - I am going to give another "ditto"to Coop's post--but I am one who likes to gather info before making judgements. As for mistakes--we all make them. Sometimes poor choices are made--learning from them and owning up to them can make the difference for me.

That's where it stopped, actually. The last post I saw was one right after mine suggesting showing evidence (just to clear things up) about the said story.

This isn't a case about changing minds. I know there were things said that were not true, you can't really deny that because there are threads all over that say they are not, I could point you to several. I just wish the original thread was still around (locked) so people could make their own judgments about it. I wasn't trying to witch hunt it's just... after some time, it becomes obvious things aren't adding up and they didn't on that thread. Foxy even admitted she lied on the thread that is now gone.

But that's not what bothers me. It's that the thread was deleted by the OP which I don't think is right. It's that posts in the past were changed to make things look better.

I also just have a real problem with loss of respect in this case. I feel mod powers were abused.

you absolutely can reserved judgement about the allegations as far as the breeding. but that's not really what is particularly in question here

It's the fact that the MOD deleted her OWN thread because she didnt' like the way it was going (even said in the thread that she was going to dog pile it if people kept asking questions) and then admitted that she went back to a thread that was a few years old and edited it to reflect what she is saying now.

THAT is abuse of power or abuse of mod privilege IMO.

it wasn't deleted because it was a witch hunt or because it was getting out of line. it was deleted by the person who started the thread who happened to be a mod because she didn't like it.

THAT is what is really in question here. and I think that's the biggest issue.

Thank you. I read through it again and as far as I can tell, there is absolutely no witch hunt going on. And yes, it is quite messy. I just wish that Foxy would come back and simply tell the truth. Even if it involves her buying her dogs from a pet store and her being ashamed to admit it.
