He broke his tooth at the dog park. I was talking to a friend there, and her nephew was playing with the dogs. I didnt notice until it was in mid air, but he threw a HUGEEEE rock, and blaze being the champion catcher he is, jumped in the air and tried to catch it. Luckily it wasnt a canine, but a smaller front tooth. I literally feel sick to my stomache, as it couldnt come at a worser time money wise (not like this is ever a good time), lucky my boyfriend will pay the bill for me and I will just owe him back. He has a vet Appointment at 10am tomorrow.

He doesnt seem to be in aany pain, but we all know how well dogs like to hide it. there goes the money I had set aside for agility class #2.
so i hope its nothing to serious, can be fixed ASAP, and really not to costly, but my boyfriend has more then enough to pay the whole bill and let me pay it back bit by bit.

Im more worried about what if he needs to be put under to get it fixed, with his heart issue and being a hearding breed, it is harder on them to be put under.

I cried at the dog park when I seen it, Then got caught by the biker (motorcycle) guy Im friends with. he said Blaze will be fine relax lol.

Ill try and get some pictures of it in a bit.

When Lady broke her tooth, my vet said to watch for redness/swelling of the gum for an infection. If the gum stayed ok, we could just leave the tooth like that. To remove the tooth would be considered major surgery and putting her under. This happened about a year ago, and she just has a greyish colored broken tooth.

Sending good vibes to Blaze.

My boss' dogs have a broken tooth or two and they didn't require any surgery. They are just missing the points on the teeth that are broken so I'm not sure how far down his is.

Sending vibes for Blaze!

Tyr has two broken canines - both were broken before he was a year old. He's now 4 1/2 and they haven't caused him any problems.

Thanks every one!

So we went to the vet. Good news. We decided to leave it be. The root is still intact, just a large piece of tooth missing. the tooth will basiclly just die. I just have to watch for any infection, which wont be hard as I look in his mouth very often. She said we could pull it. But it didnt need to be done. She said he has such great healthy teeth that she thinks he will be fine like this. She felt silly for me even coming in, but understood why i did. So my vet visit was only 20 bucks, which was great. She even told me not to feel bad, her son was swining a gold club a few months ago, and her dads dog got int he way, ALL the front teeth were gone, poor pup is only a year old too. The tooth that is missing is in a good spot for drainage. So lets hope no infection starts. he is in no pain, eating fine, and being his normaly barky self lol
