Before we get to the pictures, a little back story about where I got Saxon. I adopted him from his first family, who bought him from the breeder. They liked him a lot, but were ill prepared for his rowdiness and found him to be too much of a hand full for them and their three young children. When I adopted him they didn't have his papers or the breeder's information, all they had was a picture of the stud with the name "Roilas" on it. I googled "Roilas Staffordshire" and came up with an ad for a stud dog. I responded to the ad asking about Saxon's litter. I wasn't expecting much, but was pleasantly surprised when I got an email back from Roilas' owner with pictures of Saxon and his littermates as puppies! I learned that Roilas was from YankeeStaff Kennels: http://www.world-net.net/home/malec/stafford.htm YankeeStaff is a pretty well known Staffordshire Bull Terrier breeder in the US, but they no longer do much breeding. The breeder who bred Saxon wasn't an ethical breeder. He never paid the stud fee to Roilas' owner, he never gave Saxon's first family any papers or vet records, he did not prepare them for Saxon's energy level, he probably also failed to health test Saxon's mom before breeding her. While I don't support unethical breeders, I am happy that Saxon was born and ended up with me! Now, on to the pictures!! Saxon's paternal grandfather, Yankeestaff Preachin' The Blues (Pedigree: http://www.staffordshirebullterrierpedigrees.nl/modules/animal/pedigree.php?pedid=29683): Saxons paternal grandmother, Yankeestaff Lady Margaret (Pedigree: http://www.staffordshirebullterrierpedigrees.nl/modules/animal/pedigree.php?pedid=29684) Saxon's dad, Roilas: Saxon's mom and dad together: Saxon (Saxon's the super handsome one on top!) and his littermates (note the Black and Tan pup, this is a disqualification in the Staffordshire Bull Terrier breed, but pops up in litters now and then): Puppy Saxon (note how his nose was mostly pink, it is not all black with a little bit of pink on the in the nostrils): Saxon now!
