Hello my fellow chazzers I am visting my mother-in-law and one of her dogs has an infected foot. Sancho keeps licking her wound like crazy. Can he get sick from doing this?
My only concern would be if you are putting ointment on the wound to heal it and if it's safe to lick off. With my dogs when they have gotten wounds I clean with cooled organic green tea and put calendula cream on it. Both are quite safe in case one of my other dogs licks the wound.
King and Molly lick each others cuts all the time. They don't get obsessive about it, like some of my other dog's did, where they would lick until it was totally messed up.
