Why does it have to be so close?

I would contact RedyreRottweilers (she is on this message board) she isn't close enough but she has great dogs and might know someone to get you in touch with.

It needs to be close because i'm looking for a dog to use in the short film i'm making, which means someone will need to accompany the dog to Long Island (where i'm filming) and fit in with the shooting schedule.

Have you tried a rescue. Most would do it for free advertising no matter how small.

Yes, i've tried a shelter, but they just haven't gotten back to me.

i'm going to try another shelter. my parent's friend is a director there.

You don't necessarily need a breeder, you need someone with a dog. If you will PM me with your contact info, and exactly what you need the dog to do, I will be happy to post to my lists. There are numerous people in your area.
