I have a 4-5 month old lab collie mix. His mother was just found and she is visibly border collie. He has started to show rose ears and so have all of his siblings. I was looking online and it looks like its pretty common in border collies when they're loosing their teeth. But What i was wondering is whether border collies ears go back to the button ear when they get older? Does anyone have a border collie that knows from experience?

Adult border collies often have rose ears. (Sometimes they're rose, pricked, semi-pricked, uneven, etc. etc.) I have an adult BC mix who has rose ears as well. Sometimes puppies' ears do strange things. One member has an adorable little border collie whose ears were almost pricked for a while but then did a rose shape and uneven sometimes. So, you'll see as he matures.
