Yes, I finally had a chance to take photos of my "experiment", aided by Rebecca and Ben of Ella's Lead.

Observe... the Sizzlin Sizzledog Seatbelt Lead. How nicely it fits onto the baby-seat clips in the back of my car!

Here's a view from the front, sans dog. I added the big carabiners, the SSS does not come equipped with carribeaners... yet! (They're professional climbing ''biners, not more than $6 each at any outdoor outfitter-type store)

Behold! Dog can be hooked into the car safely with the SSS! (Note: I use a roughrider harness. I think the SSS would need to be longer for other types of seatbelt harnesses. I got my measurement by measuring the distance from the baby-seat clip to my dog's shoulders, then subtracted the length of the trailing end of the harness.)

"Iz not goin' nowhere, am I mom?"

If you want the dog sitting in the car, no problem! Comfy that way too...

"Wuzzat noise? Too bad I can't go investigate, I'm lashed in TIGHT!"

"Aw darn, I can't even jump out of the window... I guess I have to sniff the breeze from the safety of the car..."

"Wut? You mean I can't even jump out of the car when I'm excited? Darn! My life is no fun anymore..."

The end!

P.S. ... my "doggie squadcar" will not have the grate in it once I get another seatbelt harness. But for now, it needs to stay up for safety reasons.

awww! Ronin makes such an awesome model!
I'm glad you are happy with them and that they work for you! I was so worried they wouldn't the right length. I'm REALLY glad they are!

I LOVE the rope, too.

I'm trying to figure out if I can rig something like that now that I've got my seats just plain taken out, but I'm not entirely sure how...

Those look awesome though! Good engineering!

LOL! Tell Ronin he looks better as a safety harness model than as a crash test dummy :D
^good one! *pictures Ronin with the little yellow and black target stickers all over*

That looks pretty darn cool there sizzle..........I believe our crew of engineers at work would be impressed (even if they wouldn't admit it 'cause you are a girl :D)

Then just tell them it was Ronin's idea. ;) If I ever don't have an SUV, I'm totally getting those.
