It has been a super bad day... Mick was PTS this afternoon, he had a aggressive-growing tumor on his front left leg. We had decided to go ahead with removing the leg, but when Mick was under, the surgeon discovered another larger mass in his chest. The surgeon said he could remove the leg but he doubted if Mick would live another two months. The decision was made to let him go.
This sucks. Trying not to cry at work sucks. I miss my Little Boy, with his constantly wagging tail and his omigod-it's-a-treat/lunch/dinner dance. He loved to be brushed, loved to snuggle, loved to go for walks. The only thing he hated was car rides and that was the last thing I did to him. His brother Murphy keeps searching the yard... Goodbye, Michaleen.

I am so sorry. How sad. I hope you got through work ok. I can't imagine what it would be like to have to go to work after that.

I am so truly sorry ((((((((HUGS))))))))))

When I Close my eyes, I can still see Mary's ever wagging tail on the path in front of me. This is something I reach for when my life is overwhelming. IT brings me comfort.

I hope your memory will too. Gone but never forgotten. <3

Thank you all. It's just weird not to see Mick with Murph. Murph has stopped searching but he's been talking more to me when I fuss with him (he's always been a vocal dog). I always fed Mick and Murph in the same area (Riley is fed in a different room because he tends to be a jerk) and now I find myself grabbing Riley's bowl when I pick up Murph's. Sigh.

I don't get a chance to spend much time on this forum lately, but I did pop on and saw this. I am so very sad and sorry to hear of your loss. It's just heartbreaking. I send you my best for some peace. I know what you mean about those little habits like you mention about picking up the bowl. It's just so very hard for a while. (((hugs))) May your memories of happy times carry you along.
