    Got back from our annual trip to the Outer Banks of NC this past weekend... Lots of pics, so beware!

    The surf carved a shelf into the beach and someone carved this over Memorial Day weekend. I thought it was pretty cool.

    Dolphins put on a show - the darker spot in the water is actually a school of fish and they were close enough to the shore I could stand on the walkway to take photos.

    GREAT shots. I've always wanted to visit the Outer Banks. Love that pic of him with his tug toy.

    Thanks! We usually go before Memorial Day to avoid the crowds but were a week late this year. Riley was a lot happier once all the holiday crowd went home and there weren't so many people on the beach.

    We've been going to the Outer Banks since we were kids (over 50 years) and this is the first time I've ever seen dolphins so close to shore or so active. We're usually happy to see a dorsal fin or two go by. :)
