I'm new to this site, so I want to introduce myself. I recently launched a website to promote rescue awareness. One of the rescue groups I mention on my site is a brand new rescue group that my neighbor started called Molly's Mutts and Meows. They are doing some great work, please check them out, they are linked from my site. I also volunteer at Friends of Animals foundation and they don't have a website, but you can get there contact info from my site. They are a no-kill shelter and they need to increase adoptions because they've run out of room. One of the dogs I work with there is in a small transport cage (granted she's a small dog), but it breaks my heart. If you know anyone in the LA area that is looking for a small dog, please have them get in touch with Friends of Animals Foundation.
